@Kim888  That sounds nice that there was plenty of essence, but too bad about the tackiness. I tend to have issues with that as well...though I don't mind too much as long as I don't have to apply makeup right afterwards.

D for Dewytree 

Dewytree 100 Mask - Cica

The serum for this sheet mask is made of cica, and just cica. 😍 @Shosh85, I thought I'd be able to share with you what my take on cica's scent after using this mask, but my nose didn't pick up any scent from this 100% centella asiatica extract serum. Hmmm... 🤔

This mask is drenched with serum and it is runny and drippy coming straight out of the packet; it's also light mocha / tan in color, which having saturated the sheet material, tints it a similar shade. The sheet mask material is said to be made up of a blend of cotton, eucalyptus fiber and algae/seaweed. It's soft, thin-leaning and lightweight. Size-wise, it's overly large for my face shape, which is standard for sheet masks, and, as with most sheet masks, a few incisions are needed to the corners of the openings for the eyes and mouth, to help the fabric lie flat against my skin. The mask bunches up ever so slightly along the sides of my face which is not common but is easily remedied. I love cica for how it calms and soothes my skin, reduces discoloration from acne / PIH or dark spots, and hydrates. This mask did not disappoint and accomplished all those things in the half hour I kept it on my face. So far, I've used the cica and quince mask from this Dewytree 100 line and of the two, I prefer this cica version.

@itsfi  I remember @WinglessOne reviewing this one and her description of the scent! It makes me really want to try and grow a Cica plant! This mask certainly sounds great! It's hard to go wrong with 100% Cica! 😃

@Shosh85, how great would that be if you were to grow a cica plant?!!! I am barely keeping my aloe plant alive; the orchids are so much easier for me to care for. 😂  I've enjoyed the masks I've used so far from this Dewytree 100 line. I can't seem to pick up a scent from any of them though. ☹️ But I'll keep trying! 😉

@itsfi @WinglessOne  I've started to research how and when to grow, and instead of seeds I may be able to get a plant that's already started! I just want to make sure the timing is right 😉

@Shosh85 @itsfi  Each time I use this mask, I'm surprised it doesn't have a stronger scent. I don't know why since none of my other heavily cica skincare products have much of a scent (if any), but I keep expecting a 100% centella asiatica mask to make its presence known to my nose while covering my face. But yeah, I do still detect a green, almost pine, just shy of medicinal scent each time I sniff this mask serum. Years of wine sniffing & tasting have trained my nose well. 😂 

I'm glad you enjoyed this one, itsfi! It's still among my favorites. And Shosh, definitely let us know if you grow a cica plant!

@WinglessOne @Shosh85, smelling a cica plant is actually something I now want to do, but that'll have to wait for a while. In the meantime, I might have to follow your lead winglessone and train my nose - if that means I need to make more occasions to sniff and taste wine, well, so be it. 😉

@itsfi  I'm pretty confident I have this one somewhere. This makes me want to try and find it and see if I can detect a scent. I don't really know what cica is supposed to smell like, though.

@Samtian, I have 2 more from the line to try and am looking forward to them. It's great for seeing how the skin responds to that one ingredient! 😀 If I find one I like more than the others, I might see about picking up a week's worth and seeing how my skin responds if I did some daily masking with just the mask.
