Multiple Issues with Sephora

 My experience with Sephora has been kind of horrific lately. Don't get me wrong, I love this place, but I've never had so many issues with various things.

 

1. My last order was the fifth time I didn't receive samples at all, which, let's be real, is part of the online ordering joy. I want to try these things. They're likely to get more money when I test out products.

2. I know that the Limited Edition play many people got the wrong box (including me) and that Sephora has tried to remedy the situation, but it's unclear across the board what the remedy is. Whether it's a full refund and points or just the missing samples.

 

3. Just this morning I was charged twice for the Sephora PLAY November box. There are two separate orders. I don't know what the heck is going on, but this is beyond ridiculous to have so many problems. Sephora needs to acknowledge these and work on better customer service.

 

P.S. I noticed the Chat was also down. I'm guessing due to a lot of technical issues? Who else is going through all these problems? Has Sephora done things to remedy?

Just wanted to say that I was NOT double charged for this month's play box, but now that I think of it I either haven't been getting any samples with orders or getting dumb ones I didn't choose

I too am disappointed especially with the PLAY boxes fiasco. I contacted Sephora via facebook that day the Beauty Remedy boxes went on sale, after I saw a post in a FB group from a woman offering to use her rouge status to order the boxes for anyone who wanted one but wasn't a rouge/VIB. Multiple people took her up on the offer & she said she was going to use her 2-day shipping & have the box sent to each person she ordered for. I gave screen shots and told sephora that they should put a limit on how many you can order because its not fair to all the VIBS who will be unable to order when the box sells out. I was told that the box was still in stock and that I and anyone else could still order the box! I did order box 1 and they sent me box 2 which is full of products I didn't want in the first place (some I already have and hate) and I am SOL, can't return the wrong box & get the one I paid for. And this is petty but why do they let us pick our free samples if they don't even send the ones we pick? I order at least once a month and I can't remember the last time I even got ONE sample that I picked?

Same here... I've had so many issues with my play boxes or samples...its frustrating, especially coming from such a big company.. customer service is important. There must be a root cause for so many people to have the same issue. Staff more workers & quality check orders since its a big part of the business.

They could’ve at least let us keep the 10 extra points we had because of there screw up but I just noticed that they took them off of mine.

I feel the same way. The Sephora in my area is terrible. I dread having to go in store because it’s always such a mess in there. I usually will try to go find something in store to see if I like it enough to buy it and it’s usually not in stock (so many times all the popular items are sold out, I get it but order more if they are ALWAYS sold out. Not really sold out but just in store. I mean they offer to send it to me but I could have ordered it myself and get free two day shipping myself since I’m rouge and saved myself the hour drive. Recently they have also charged me twice for a $30 item and I didn’t notice until I was home. I’m a stay at home mom with two small children and an hour drive. I wasn’t able to get refunded for weeks. I placed an order the other day and was a few dollars away from being able to get a deluxe sample. So I got a $20 z palette extra just because I wanted to try a certain item that was “available” just for me to get an email the next day saying it was unavailable. I wouldn’t have bought that extra z palette yet because I won’t need it for a while.

😞 I feel ya! There was one delivery I got where ALL the samples were missing! I haven't been getting the correct samples (for over half a year now!) until my most recent order. Hopefully this means that they'll be giving the correct samples now!

I can't even remember the last time I actually got the samples I picked...which is the sole reason for shopping online...sometimes I don't even get samples too...

I have had the same issues! My limited edition play box was wrong. Last time I tried to redeem points for an item, they never included it in my shipment. If samples do actually get included into my shipment, it is never the item(s) I selected at checkout. And the offer codes I enter for extra sample items when you spend a certain amount keep getting missed too. Love sephora, but they need to get their shit together.

yes same here. there has been days recently I ordered stuff in the mall came 3 days in a row or week and none of the right sample are in there. half of the stuff in my play box is stuff I've already purchased from the store and don't need a travel size of it. I got the play box to try new things.someone said it, ipsy is better at this point. And about to go on the waitlist for boxy charm.

I haven’t gotten any samples either, lately that or I get the most absurd ones - ones that weren’t offered. Most of the time, the day I order depends on the samples that are provided and I missed out on a lot. The site is constantly down which is terrible, I constantly get the 400 error message. I love Sephora and all, but I recently have been relying on Ulta because they have better offers.

I just made a big order plus ordered my first play box so I'm really nervous after reading everyone's experience 😬 haven't been charged yet for the play box I'm going to watch they don't double charge me !

I haven't gotten my correct samples for about the past year. Sometimes I get one maybe two but sometimes I get none at all. I wish they would at least give me something if they run out of the one I asked for.

Same here! I thought it was just me....its been well over a year since I got any of the samples I picked.I don't even get 1 of the samples I picked...I always get 3  random samples that weren't even shown when I picked.

There have been so many issues and order screw ups I’ve been dealing with as well. They are my favorite store though so I’m hoping they get it together!

Yeah, that isn't true. I was charged once and I know someone that was charged hundreds! So definitely not a uniform issue, although it seems most people did get charged twice

They lied. I️ was only charged once
