How does your beauty routine change as you head out of winter and into spring?
I think I am done as well. The products are meh and The customer service when there is an issue is a joke. It is not worth the frustration it brings.
I agree. I cancelled my box after I received mine today. I got an email saying these products and I was like awesome, then I got my box and it sucked.
I don't mind all the skin care products but I would like to receive DIFFERENT items in each box. The whole point of the subscription for me is to play around with new and different products. I have already received the sephora brand mascara, the Dr. Jart correcting treatment, and Ouai wave spray before. With so many products on the market, nothing should really be repeated.
I couldn’t agree more. For example, I feel like *every* beauty company gives me free mascara, which I never use, because my eyes are too sensitive for most, so having even two Sephora mascaras is too much. I wish we could “opt out” of certain types of items that we know we won’t use. It would make the box so much more useful—& me more likely to go in to buy a full bottle of something! Repeats simply mean that if I like it, I’m not coming in to shop. (Kind of a dumb marketing strategy, if you think about it!)

This box is a disappointment! I received a bronzer that is too dark for my pale skin, two dry shampoos, a repeat mascara, and perfume that I can’t use. I have chronic migraines I can’t utilize perfumes. Do you guys even read our profiles?! This whole box seems to be a waste just like the money I’m spending on the subscription.
Sounds like we got the same box - I was also disappointed by the repeats. I've already got the Drybar 3-in-1 and the mascara in a prior Play box, and I won't use the bronzer or perfume. It was better than the January box (mushroom latte, anyone?) but not one of the better boxes I've received.
The thing I like about Play! is getting to try new things. I can handle receiving a product each month I won't use, but the dupes are harder to justify. I've only been subscribed for a year and am starting to see repeats become more common (and they also have a lot of overlap with the rewards bazaar 100-point items and I got last year's birthday gift in my January box).
My “sneak peek” link never works so I’ve given up even checking. Just got the “see your box” email. Disappointed doesn’t begin to describe how I feel about it. I’m not sure I’ll use anything in this box! I’m very sensitive to smells and most of the perfumes go into my give to my coworkers pile. The bronzer maybe will work although it looks a little too dark for me from the photo. The sunscreen is a maybe because I haven’t tried it yet but I don’t spend much time outdoors and not a big fan of the brand. I have already tried the mascara from before and it wasn’t a thumbs up for me. Now the best for last; 2, I say TWO dry shampoos!!! Can’t think of a reason to ever put 2 of the same product types in one month’s box. I have gotten both before. Even though I have oily hair, it is very thin and flattens quickly. Haven’t found any yet that have worked well enough to go out in public. On the upside, at least I won’t be getting another black eyeliner 😛
I know you can’t make everyone’s box different and you can’t please all the people all the time, but I think it might be a good idea to up the questions on the Profile to the next level. Just went back to check mine and there aren’t any changes I can make with what limited choices there are. I am a Rouge makeup junkie like most here and feel that as long as I get like 3 items I like, I’ve gotten my money’s worth. Some months it’s a feast, but I’ve never gotten a famine like this...until now
