De-slick vs. All Nighter for SUPER oily skin

I have the oiliest skin in the world, with most of the oil concentrated in my T-zone (hello shiny eyebrows), but everything is oily. Any thoughts on UD De-slick vs. All Nighter? Or do you have another magical formula that will keep my face looking relatively matte for an entire day and makeup all in place? Thanks!

RE: De-slick vs. All Nighter for SUPER oily skin

I have super oily skin and UD setting sprays do nothing for me. The products that have been helping me are surprising cheap. Pixie makeup fixing spray and for touch ups, a light dusting of RCMA powder.

Throw out those UD sprays! I have the oiliest skin and the one product that was a MAJOR game changer for me is the Ben Nye Final Seal setting spray. I am telling you, it's life changing! I get mine from Makeup Mania's site.

Both makeup sprays do not control your oil as much as they should for 30 something dollars. Skindinavia oil control is the better bet. That company also formulates urban decay sprays.

I honestly don't think either one work for oily skin

Re: De-slick vs. All Nighter for SUPER oily skin

I haven't actually tried either the De-slick or All Nighter but you did open the floor to other "magical formulas". Without using this product each morning, by the evening my eyes are burning and my vision blurs because my eyelids and eyelashes are so ridiculously oily. So trust me, I can certainly understand your struggle!

Sorry Sephora but you don't sell this one... I apply a thin coat of Phillips Milk of Magnesia all over my face (avoiding the under eye area - thankfully that one small area doesn't need it) before my primer. I've been using this for the past 7-ish years and it really does work miracles. It is without a doubt the best oil controller I have ever seen.

When I first heard about this, I wasn't sure if it was a joke or not but I figured "Hey, I've already wasted hundreds of dollars on products trying to find something that works. It can't hurt to spend $4 and just see what happens!"

I hope you find the perfect product that works wonders for you!

RE: De-slick vs. All Nighter for SUPER oily skin

I have oily skin and I used to use deslick but then I started using the make up forever "mist and fix". Also the smashbox primer water which you can use as a primer and a setting spray is great!!

Re: RE: De-slick vs. All Nighter for SUPER oily skin

The Smashbox primer didn't work for me at all...I was so sad!

RE: De-slick vs. All Nighter for SUPER oily skin

I have oily skin and use All nighter and I love it! I wasn't sure so I bought the smaller size and I intend on getting the full size once I run out.

Re: De-slick vs. All Nighter for SUPER oily skin

The oil-slick didn't seem too make too much of a difference in terms of how oily I looked/became throughout the day. Granted, my skin is oily, but it's not super oily. It could be worth a try if you want to try to curb how oily your skin becomes, but either spray works for keeping makeup on!

Re: De-slick vs. All Nighter for SUPER oily skin

I found that the de-slick didn't do much if anything at all for me. The all nighter spray is the way to go.

Re: De-slick vs. All Nighter for SUPER oily skin

Thanks for the feedback! Are you relatively oily? Sounds like everyone prefers All Nighter!

Re: De-slick vs. All Nighter for SUPER oily skin

I have oily skin and I prefer the all nighter spray over the deslick.

Re: De-slick vs. All Nighter for SUPER oily skin

I think I'll have to give it a try. It'll be a miracle if it works...I'm THAT oily. LOL

Re: De-slick vs. All Nighter for SUPER oily skin

I use both the de-slick and the all nighter, and they both work for me. I use the de-slick when I want to wear a more luminizing foundation, like Nars all day luminous. It made my foundation last all day long! I wear the all nighter with all my other foundation. I also use Becca ever matte primer which helps control my oils. I am an oil slick with out that. Hope this helps!

Re: De-slick vs. All Nighter for SUPER oily skin

I have also used both De-Slick and All Nighter and I felt like I got just as oily from both. I also use Becca Ever Matte and set that with powder before foundation. Anyways, I honestly feel like the only setting spray that would keep makeup from moving at all and control ALL oil would probably be Ben Nye Final Seal (which I have not tried yet).

Thanks guys!
