Best primers for oily skin?

My skin gets super oily throughout the day, especially my chin. I've tried multiple primers to try and help control the oil, but nothing really does what I want it to. I've tried:
make up for ever mattifying step 1 (this is probably my favorite of the ones I've tried, it's mattifying without being crazy drying, but I do still find that after a few hours my oils come through)
becca evermatte primer (I find this one is too drying and make my skin more oily)

smashbox photo finish primer

benefit porefessional

I'm also currently using a sample of the Hourglass veil mineral primer, and so far I do like it but my chin still gets pretty oily after a few hours so I'm not sure it's worth the price.

For reference, I currently use Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation, and I do have a good skincare routine. What else would you recommend I try?

Thanks for your help!

RE: Best primers for oily skin?

benefit porefessional. it’s smooth, lightweight, velvety, matte, minimizes pores and helps my makeup to stay on all day. smashbox photo finish primer. it feels a little greasy going on but it blended right into my skin and kept my makeup on all day. nyx honey dew me up serum and primer. not a sephora sold brand, but i use this everyday with other primers. it’s sticky, (don’t worry it soaks in and doesn’t feel sticky all day) and it keeps my makeup stuck in place all day. it also has gold flakes and collagen in it so it brightens you up and makes you look more youthful!

Try the Becca Velvet Blurring primer or the Fenty Beauty...

Try the Becca Velvet Blurring primer or the Fenty Beauty Pro Filt'r Primer. Both are pretty good. I have extremely oily skin. Nothing is going to keep your oils from breaking through but these help slow the process down. My makeup last about 5 hours before I need to touch up. It used to be 2 hours before I had to blot.

Which do you prefer fenty or Becca primer?

I haven't try those, will do so now 👀

Re: Best primers for oily skin?

@ajver I, too, have oily skin and use EL DW on a almost daily basis. My best mattifying primer would be the Becca one that you have already tried. Next up would be the new Too Faced cooling primer and Soap and Glory's One Heck of a Blot primer. Try them out and let me know if they work for you!

Re: Best primers for oily skin?

I've have to check these out, thanks! And maybe I should give the Becca another chance. Where do you usually buy soap and glory at? I've seen it on various websites, but never in stores anywhere.

Re: Best primers for oily skin?

@ajver I get all my Soap and Glory stuff from Ulta but it’s also sold at Target!
