Congratulations, @cianni !  I was born back in the day when you did not know the sex of your baby until birth.  I think it's great that you're going this route.  All your nail ideas have merit.  I agree with @QueenMarceline  the holidays come every year and neutrals are practical.  Celebrate your motherhood--go for pink and blue. 💖💙💖💙

@Titian06thank you!! I don’t know when gender reveals became such a popular thing (my mom didn’t know with me or any of my siblings, and I’m not sure finding out was offered to her?), but it’s definitely been fun having everyone take guesses as to what they think Baby is!

@cianni Can definitely see why you're torn, all of these are such great ideas that serve a specific, but different purpose. I personally love the blue/pink combo nails you mentioned, having a baby is an awesome milestone and I think keeping the gender a secret is such a creative idea behind the nail inspo. As much as I love anything and everything holiday nail art related, the holiday do come around every year whereas the opportunity for your pink/blue combo may not come around as quickly. The neutral nails seem great and extremely practical, but overall I just think the baby nails are too cute and creative to pass up on. ❤️

Whatever you end up choosing to do, I'm sure they will end up looking amazing 🙂 keep us posted!

@QueenMarcelinethis is very true!! Realistically, I lean towards a take on a fun red color palette/design for the holidays anyways. Maybe I’ll slightly modify and use the idea for valentines instead!

Your going to crazy busy, so as a mom who’s had babies I’d go with neutral esp as it might be awhile before you get nails done .. best wishes !!

Decided to play with some of the purples in my stash. 

Night Owl Lacquer I've Heard It Both Ways (thumb), a vibrant slightly metallic purple with purple microglitters, topped with China Glaze Fa-La-Ah-Ah-Ahhh, a violet jelly base with gold and champagne micro glitters 

Zoya Marie (index), a medium violet with gold, red, white, blue, purple shimmers. The shimmers photograph more silver

Zoya Debbie (middle), described as a plum brown cream looks a lot more UPS-brown than anything in the photos. I wish I was able to capture the plum tones in it that I see in person

I also wish I did a better job of capturing the different colors in Zoya Adina (ring), a purple metallic multi chrome that gives off some green and fucshia / magenta hues. This one is very cool and in some lighting looks like the interior of an abalone shell. Very pretty.

Zoya Monica (pinky) is a deep, dark purple creme. The camera and indoor lights is making it look almost black but the purple does come through in person. The second photo of the mani does a better job of that.

Base coat was Deborah Lippmann All About That Base and top coat was Glisten & Glow Top Coat. Both photos of the manis are before the top coat to show the texture and finishes of the polishes, primarily of the ones on my thumb and index fingers.

Thank you @Mellmars1185. I try to look at the polishes with a discerning eye, trying to figure out which ones to either donate or rehome, in an effort to whittle down the collection. But it always seems that I end up not letting go of anything 😆. And, sometimes, I end up picking up more 🛍️ when I realize I like a particular brand’s formulation. 🤣

Thank you @RGbrown, love purples! 💜 I came close to making it an all Zoya purple skittles mani 💅🏼 but switched it up at the last minute. I feel like I have more Zoya purples than this? 🤔 Me thinks the others must be packed away for the time being.

Hooray for purple @itsfi! I love how the ones from Zoya don’t immediately read as purple until they’re in just the right lighting conditions and them BAM! 💜💜💜

Love a good purple polish @JoSometimes and there are some good ones here. 💜 You’re right, the purple in a couple of these really do stay undercover until the right lighting comes into play on camera.

Ahhhh this is lovely! Your top coat really gets those polishes shiny @itsfi everytime you post a mani I think too myself, oooh one day I'm going to grab that top coat. 😉

You definitely should give the Glisten & Glow Top Coat a try @CynthieLu! These pics were of the polishes without top coat - so shiny on their own. Even more so with the G&G.
