GITD polishes are fun, aren't they, @CynthieLu?  I haven't had one in years but I was so tempted to pick one up from Fancy Gloss this year.

Thank you lady! I've never had one and definitely admired them in the past. The kid in me is thrilled about it. 😉 @CookieGirl1 I think during spooky season it feels extra fitting maybe? I say go for it lol. They are just a smile waiting to happen. 😃

Speaking of The Halloween Advent, She had 4 special effect polishes in this box I think. 

1 magnetic, 1 crackle, 1 GITD and 1 Thermal. 

There were 2 that I think are special effects a Reflective and a Solar but I'm not really what a solar polish is truthfully. 😅

I think I remember you saying you hoped that there would be more simple or one color shades and less glitter bombs? I can report there are no simple shades, some are less glittery than others but they ask have some kind of sparkle or shine.✨🪩

@CynthieLu - A solar polish is activated by the sun.  It's one color indoors/in the shade and changes color when in the sun.  Like a thermal polish changes colors in hot and cold water or temperatures.

@CynthieLu You have a great memory! That is exciting there are 4 special effects polishes. That is new and exciting! I love the theme this year. Do you find that the names fit the theme of the movie? Or just the names? My plan in 2025 is to do some major panning and make some major dents in my whole collection. If I do make some progress, maybe I will allow myself to get the advent calendar next year.

Ooooh that reminds me, I wanted to tell you, guess what? I had to pay duties on my polish for the first time ever. @Mellmars1185 It was a surprise.

I think it was about 35-40$. It ended up being a informative conversation with the ladies at the post office. 

They told me due to like Canadian government things, that we are paying duties and almost everything now. They said for thier customers getting mail this year, that people are getting dinged with duties on everything. 

It reminded me about your experience with Look Fantastic.

@CynthieLu Sorry to hear you had to pay duties. I have had to pay them on all of my LynB orders and all but one Polish Pickup order. Just another reason to shop my stash!

Your right, it's another great reason to shop the stash. It's just so hard when do many good things come from other countries right? 😅🙈

@CynthieLu i would say I have been paying duties on LynB since 2022. I plan on doing a shopping trip soon for some gifts for coworkers (and a few things for me) that only available at Ulta and Sephora in the US. 

I know it is hard to resist the beautiful indie/small business nail polishes. We don't seem to have as many here. What is the brand that you bought nail polish from that is Canadian owned and they are sisters? I think it starts with a 'K'?

I haven't ever used a GITD before, it's been a cool experience. I was at a family dinner and got to show my very young niece and nephew. They are 4 and 6 and they thought they were pretty neat. 😃

Here's my next mani. 

Thumb & Ring:  Zoya Remington.  Dark mauve cream with a brown undertone.  Two easy coats.

Ring:  Topped with one coat of Mooncat Heart of Stone.  Clear base with holo glitter and shifts from taupe to pink.

Index:  Finger Paints Free-Form Fawn.  Dark mauve cream with a purple-y brown (is that plum?) undertone.  Two easy coats.

Middle & Pinky:  Zoya Marnie.  Dark mauve cream with a brown undertone.  Two somewhat fussy coats.  I had to apply three coats to one nail due to rather noticeable sheer spots.

Remington and Marnie are virtually the same color!
