We're still expecting rain and possibly another storm this and next week, but today the sun came out so I wanted to do something spring-y. Maybe in hopes of it coming early despite the weather forecast? 

My nails were all different lengths and I decided I should cut them short but not too short. Went with a square round shape - I’m discovering that shape is easier for me to do a French tip. Here I used nail stickers - my hands were not steady and the stickers come in handy for painting  cleaner tips. 💅🏼

This design was inspired by a box of imPress press-on nails I saw in Target. I tried a couple of times to recreate it, but my nails were too short and my hands too shaky to replicate the flower pattern, so I did my own thing with the accent nails.

Base color - Essie Mademoiselle, a sheer pink

Tip shade - I mixed Gucci Glossy Nail Polish 716 Lucy Baby Blue, a mid-tone baby blue, with Gucci Winterest Snow, a white creme (from Gucci direct)

Nail Art - the tip shade and Gucci Winterest Snow

Base and Top Coats - Deborah Lippmann Hard Rock - Nail Strengthening Top and Base Coat

Awww, thank you @Titian06! Polka dots and flowers were the first nail art looks I learned to do and I just love going back to them.

That's sweet of you to say @ather! Thank you, thank you! I was looking back at some photos of previous mani's and I realized that other than a French tip with a twist last month and an ombre design at the beginning of the year, I hadn't done any nail art, so I went with something a little more familiar to me - flower designs. Will have to try to come up with some other nail art ideas.

Thank you @RGbrown! It felt like it had been a while since I did any nail art with a dotting tool so I went back to basics with flowers.

Aww, thank you @Saradestin! That's so kind of you to say. I haven't been doing nail art as frequently as I have in the last couple of years. Part of it has been nail breakage, which seems to be better; the other part is that I just that there's so many different types of of nail art to try and not enough time. Ha!
