@JoSometimes I don't doubt it! I find it easier to maneuver than brush tips.. as long as I don't need crisp edges, I definitely use the dotting tools to draw 😂 shakeyhands!!!

For Pride month, HHC (Hella Handmade Creations) allows makers to offer an extra polish and have proceeds benefit an LGBTQIA+ charity, and as I was looking through the selections a couple of weeks ago, I noticed one brand was supporting a charity in my city 😯 I was super stoked to find out that there's an indie brand that's possibly local to me, so I immediately went to their direct site and placed an order (and I also ordered one of their two HHC polishes this month...open til the 21st, go check 'em out!) 💖 Turns out they're about an hour away, and I am thrilled to know about them!

Victorian Varnish

Fueled By Rainbows: the charity polish from their site is a spectacularly rainbow-licious mix of holo glitters and flakies, and it is super sparkly. Super dense to wear as a topper or full coverage polish. Two coats plus a couple of dabs over bare spots on my pinkie and thumb, one coat over black on my ring finger.

Hawthorn & Delphinium: the description says the base is "cornflower blue", but I see lavender, though maybe the shift in the shimmer is influencing the final result? In any case, to me it's a lavender crelly with a strong green shimmer that can shift aqua and even purple at extreme angles. Shows some brush strokes (I love that, I feel like it adds a little something dynamic, but some folks hate it). Much more opaque than I expected, three easy coats on my index gave me full coverage without being fussy at all. Two coats over black on my middle finger...the milky opacity led to it being a bit streaky at one coat, but two evened up perfectly with zero issues. 

As for my middle finger...sigh. I had already had one of the messiest mani experiences I've had in a while, one of those days where I just couldn't seem to stay in the lines and polish was every freakin' where, and then I managed to mess that one up good by hitting the palm of my left hand with it. Of course it was just after finishing my colored layers, so it was nice and wet and messy. I wasn't about to try and touch that up or redo it with nine other wet nails, so I decided to just leave it be as a crack in the facade of perfection 😂 It's art, dang it 😂

Full sun; the green shimmer looks a bit weak here, but it isn't, I assume that's just glare blotting it out a bit/slash my camera ain't great

Indirect light,  the shimmer is showing up a little better, and it's a bit darker, moving over towards aqua

It takes somewhat extreme angles to catch the purple shift, but there's a bit of it here 

And a little flash to show off more of that rainbow sparkle goodness! 🌈✨

I love that their bottles are fairly unique in the polish world, love the overall vibe, love the paddle brush, and they included stickers?! Yeeesss 💖💖

Thanks so much! I've been surprised at how little this imperfection has bothered me...I've been busy and haven't had a chance to change it yet, but I haven't been annoyed by it either, more bemused than anything 😂
