Fun thread - are we influenced by our astrological sign/charts when it comes to our makeup aesthetics and skincare - does a common pattern ?

I’ve noticed certain common denominators with some of my friends.  They gravitate to certain colours and looks, perfume, nail polish etc.  I’ll start for fun.  Sun sign is Libra, Moon in Scorpio, ascendant in Taurus.  Just for giggles my friends had me get my charts done many moons ago and the lady needed to actually see my birth certificate because she refused to believe I was a Libra.  According to her I had too much earth and water in my chart.  Hmmm ... Colour I’m scared of is pink especially eyeshadows I like them but approach with caution.  Green eyeshadow I can’t get enough of ❤️❤️

Such gorgeous looks @2manyperfumes! I especially love the way you portrayed Sagittarius and Cancer! I’m an Aquarius and always thought it was associated with the colour blue, but then I googled it and looks like Aquarius also like unconventional colours... which I do! 😄

Thank you so much @Guessgal ❤️ I knew Cancers love dreamy, shimmers and glosses and I has a great tip from a makeup loving Aquarius who told me to find a real colourful palette and pick all sorts of colours.

@2manyperfumes You nailed the aries look so much.... I almost feel attacked because it is all I wear lol. I also have hooded eyes, so I understand the struggle.

Lol thank you for the compliment @Cyncynn ❤️ I’m glad I was pretty accurate because I’m just interpreting what I’ve seen, read and from my Aries friends.  Hooded eyes I could write words on my lids and you’d never see them unless I’m asleep 💤

I loved all your looks! Lipsticks I love are bright and bold-reds and corals and pastels. I also really love dark and vampy but I can't apply them to save my life. I avoid browns and nudes, though I do like nudeish pinks. I also don't care for berry colors. As for eye shadow I love my Too Faced Peach Palette. I definitely stick to nudes and browns for eye shadows, I also really love silver and gold and gray. I am terrified of blues and greens.

Thank you so much @Samtian ❤️ Some days I felt completely out of my own skin wearing colours I usually use in much smaller doses (pinks).  I think a greyed or steel shade of blue with your eye colour would work well.  Green it would have to be cool and dark and matte no yellow in it.  But I know what you mean there are just certain colours I love on others but my first reaction of it on myself is 🤢 lol these challenges help me stay open to possibilities.  Other times I lecture myself saying was it a full moon when I bought this?  What was I thinking.

I’ve gathered my 12 zodiac inspired wearable makeup looks that I recently did on my IG page.  It was so much more difficult to interpret them on myself.  I’ve combined whole look and then just eyeshadow.  The whole look included lipstick shades.  Please take it with a grain of salt because my own sign “general preferences” were not me at all.  I could never rock that much pink.

Thank you @lmaster 😘 glad you like it.  I thought of my dad’s fave colour (red) and his suits with charcoals and brown) lol.  He was an Aries and so was my Father-in-law.  Those men had zero tolerance for BS, outgoing and friendly both had fiery personalities that could be intimidating and formidable.  I had a really good friend in my 20s that’s an Aries.  We moved so far away and lost touch.  She was a fun loving, spontaneous firecracker.  She would try all and any makeup shade, fashion - fearless.  She wore her heart on her sleeve, trusting and open.  We were trouble together and complete opposites.  Go big or go home was her fashion, makeup style (think of Lady Gaga) I’m pretty sure she’s an Aries ❤️

@2manyperfumes I'm way more reserved when meeting new people, shy and like to observe people's words and actions,, maybe the heart on the sleeve was correct as an adolescent,, and so many times I've trusted people and regretted it, so now people really have to prove themselves to me, speaking in terms of people I don't know at all. I tend to like to be secluded from the public 😂 crazies out there girl! But I love going on vacations and having fun with the kiddos! I feel like I can sense someone's personality very quickly, aura. I am definitely one that stands my ground and refuses to be treated disrespectfully, very independent. Stubborn and likes my routine 🤣 I stress over getting things done,, always thinking of what's next to do. I honestly feel like Bic has so many wonderful and kind, thoughtful and generous people,, like a world of it's own! I'd rather talk to people I know are true and honest, and I've found that here! Even though we are so far from each other, I definitely think of many of my fellow bic'ers as true friends @2manyperfumes you are most definitely one of them 💋🤗

I want to play but am not sure what stuff means. Google says I'm sun is Capricorn, moon is Aquarius and ascendant is Cancer.

I'd say I'm more of a plain Jane. I don't mind experimenting with products (skincare or makeup) for research but enjoy sticking with tried and true ones.

Sticking to tried and true brands that don’t let you down is a very Capricorn trait @ShortErica 🥰 wanting to try new things is definitely Aquarius.  We need an astrological expert on this thread 🤔

@ShortErica  Here’s how my astrologer friend explains sun, moon, and rising signs. I like her explanations so I’ll copy/paste them verbatim (heh, I’m not an astrology expert): 

Sun: Your identity, ego, consistent personality traits. The core of who you are. No matter what else is in your star chart, your sun sign represents your core values and sense of self. [She once told me “oh, you thought being a Sagittarius/Capricorn cusp would bring more self-control and stability to your Sagittarius sun? Sorry, not happening!” 🤣] 

Moon: Your emotions, subconscious; the inner part of yourself you’re probably not comfortable sharing with people who aren’t close friends. Your moon sign embodies your insecurities, vulnerabilities, and gut instincts. It’s how you feel about the world around you, how you emotionally process things. 

Rising/ascendant: The first impression you give other folks. Your rising is actually the zodiac sign that appeared on the eastern horizon when you were born. This is excellent @WinglessOne 👏 sadly so true for me lol.  My charts suck!!  Lol ugh I had them done decades ago when I was in my 20s.  Love the part of the stability bringing Capricorn not happening.

Thanks for joining in @ShortErica ❤️ This is a fun thread where we can see how are makeup preferences, looks, perfume, whatever is influenced by astrology.  Your sign is a Capricorn ♑️ but your moon and ascendant also influence your personality and choices.  Earth sign is Capricorn and Aquarius is an air sign with your rising sign Cancer bring a water sign.

Oooh I love this!! I’m a Scorpio sun, Leo moon, and Aquarius rising.

I gravitate towards dark colors in my makeup (and clothes) the majority of the time. I’ve never sported a nude eye in my entire life. 😂 I love dark blues and purples, or forest/emerald greens the most. I lean towards the cooler colors but I love me a vampy red lip too.

I shy away from most nude eye looks but I can vibe with a nude lip. However keep all bright pink and red lipsticks away from me for the most part! I hate the way it looks on me.

Lol @Anonymous I haven’t met a Scorpio who goes for a nude eye. My Scorpio moon (heavy moon influence) makes it hard for me to do a nude eye.  Lips yes.  Leo is a fire sign and Aquarius air sign.  Scorpio is water.

My sun and rising are both Taurus, and my moon is Aquarius. I'm not sure what that is supposed to be like for skincare routines. But make up wise, well at least eye shadow I definitely like more neutral colors. Bright bold colors scare me. But as for lipstick, the brighter and bolder the better!

Hi @Samtian 😘 lol I think the wild child Aquarius is what makes you love to try bold lipstick.  The Taurus likes calm colours on the eyes.
