@lmaster Ohhhh nicely done on both using products and decluttering!  Those candles all sound so amazing... and swiss roll??? I know a guy at work who eats these in his lunch EVERY DAY.  I'm now off to find this for a gift!

Have you tried Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare DermInfusions™ Fill + Repair Serum with Hyaluronic Acid 1 oz / 30 mL ? If you can find it in a sample or GWP you should give it a go. I think it's to expensive to blind buy.( Or maybe even regular buy 🙈) I grab it in samples, Bazaar etc.. cuz it's pricey but it's worth investigating @lmaster

May 2024: It was a heavier empties filled month for May, with many of these products being here as a result of heavily shopping my stash for the last 6-9 months.

👍🏼  54 Thrones Moisturizing Butter Cream Body Wash - Non-Stripping with Shea Butter, Ceramides and Niaci... is creamy and moisturizing with soft vanilla scent. Packaging could be better - it’s flimsier than I expected. The cap keeps it upright but it has taken on some  artistic forms on occasion. 😆

👍🏼  MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation is one of the good powder foundations. It’s taken me a full year to finish this one. 

🫤  The formulation on the LANEIGE Water Bank Blue Hyaluronic Cream Moisturizer for Moisture Barrier Repair (Sephoria swag) is probably better suited for normal or combo-oily skin types. I went through this jar when my skin leaned more on the dry side and ended up repurposing it for a body lotion.

🫤  Sephora Colletion Smoothing and Toning Solid Body Scrub (discontinued) was fine. It just didn’t standout one way or the other. Did what it was supposed to do, with a faint, fleeting fruity fragrance.

❤️  Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez Find Comfort Stop & Soothe Aromatherapy Pen 0.16 oz / 5 mL is a nice pick me up throughout the day. The lavender and peppermint notes are not overwhelming and do not compete with one another. There’s a slight herbaceous note in here as well but I can’t pinpoint what it is exactly.

❤️  Yves Saint Laurent Lash Clash Extreme Volume Mascara Noir (Sephoria swag) impressed me, especially since it’s not a waterproof formula. I plan to pick up the waterproof version at some point

👍🏼  L'Occitane Age-Defying Immortelle Reset Oil-in-Serum 1 oz/ 30 mL has been a repeated repurchase for 5+ years; a great product for my skin during the transition months from spring to summer and all through the fall. It really does reset my skin, making it look more lively come morning

❤️  Sulwhasoo Gentle Cleansing Oil Makeup Remover 6.76 fl oz / 200 ml makes for a luxe cleansing experience with its thin but not too runny consistency and warm, slightly herbal Sulwhasoo signature scent

👍🏼 There's a reason why the Farmacy Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm (gratis) has the  following it does - this cleansing balm is light and smooth and leaves skin hydrated and smooth. This would rank higher for me personally if I didn't have other cleansing balm that I love more.

👍🏼  I'm no longer into pumpkin spice lattes (they're too sweet for my tastes nowadays) but I'm still a huge fan of the VOLUSPA Spiced Pumpkin Latte Glass Candle 123 oz - warm, spicy, fall feels.

🫤 Love the idea of the Litera x Sephora Limited Edition "Hearts Not Hate" Candle (Limited Edition) which I picked up through the Rewards Bazaar (500 points), but the thrown on this one was off. 😌 it took a while for the citrus and floral notes on this one to come through, about 2/3rds of the way into it. The jar is pretty and will make a nice, repurposed, holder of somthing. 😉

😘  VOLUSPA Mini Gilt Pomander & Hinoki Glass Jar Candle 5.5 oz/ 156 g # usually comes out during the holiday but I actually love the scent on this one year-round - something about the mix of spice, fruit, crisp, citrusy and balsamy just works so beautifully -  it's warm and cozy at the same time that it's fresh and calmin

😘  Floral and creamy without being over the top, Threshold Tinted Glass Jasmine + Ylang Ylang Jar Candle is one of the best scents available at Target.  

👍🏼  VOLUSPA Baltic Amber Glass Candle is sweet, warm and comforting - the woodsy, vanilla, amber mix creates a warm and cozy feel.

👍🏼  The pale-yellow tinted lightweight emulsion like consistency of the Erborian Yuzu Mask glides across the face easily and the subtle citrus scent is soothing and refreshing. Results on this one are great too - my skin feels soft and has an overall healthy , brightened glow to it. 

😘  It's not just the marble print of the Sonia Kashuk beauty sponge that I love - it's dense and firm but still has a soft and squishiness to it too. 

😘  I love the extra large oval size of the up & up Premium Cotton Ovals - I can cover more surface area when running a micellar-soaked pad across my face. This is one of a few pouches that I found while unboxing that had 1/2 to 1/4 of product left. 

👍🏼  I like the rich, moisturizing texture of the Biossance Mini Omega Repair Deep Hydration Moisturizer + Squalane 0.5 oz / 15 mL - a lovely treat for when my skin runs normal-to-dry, which is most of the time.

👍🏼  MERIT Great Skin Instant Glow Serum with Niacinamide and Hyaluronic Acid 1.69 oz / 50 ml - lightweight, bi-phase serum that hydrates and plumps skin and gives it a soft glow. I prefer to use this as part of my skincare routine (as opposed to a makeup primer).

👍🏼 PHLUR Mini Vanilla Skin Body & Hair Fragrance Mist 3 oz/90 mL spray has a soft, non-cloying vanilla scent. It layers wells with other scents.

😘  up & up Premium Cotton Ovals - these Target brand ovals are great. It's not as soft of luxe as the Shiseido cottons but these are are good. 

🫤  Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare All-Physical Ultimate Defense Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 50 PA++++ 1.7 oz / 50 ml wasn't what I expected - too runny and left my skin looking greasy. I feel like I've tried a mini of this before and it didn't feel this way; not sure if I just got a bad one.

👍🏼  I like the cushiony consistency of the EADEM Cloud Cushion Dewy Plumping Cream - Ceramide & Peptide-Rich for Supple, Radiant Skin. I recently picked up some foil samples of this one to test it out during the summer months and am excited to see how it performs when its warmer outside and my skin is more normal-combination. 

😘  NEST New York Sunlit Yuzu & Neroli Candle smells fresh, bright and refreshing - a great fit for spring and summer with its slightly citrusy, slightly sweet and slightly floral smells. I've already picked up the larger size. 

👍🏼  The fresh, fruity and floral scent of Valentino Born in Roma Coral Fantasy Eau de Parfum with Rose & Orange is one I like, but it's not a love for me. I was hoping to pick up the (golden) kiwi notes in this one, but sadly, that didn't come through on my skin.

Thank you @BluePaisley! Powder products can take me a while to use up. Now I know that for the MAC Studio Fix, it’s about a year of usage. I haven’t had another product that I’ve used similarly but I’m interested to see how another powder foundation might compare. Maybe something I’ll add to the pan it! challenge later this year or next year.

@itsfi You have been shopping your stash haven't you!  I've been curious on the Merit Great Skin... but was turned off by the pump in store.  I feel like maybe I'm not missing anything too crazy after reading your review.  I tried out the Le neige moisturizer in mid winter and had the same thought... not for my dry skin.  I have it set aside to try out now that the weather is warmer, fingers crossed it's more my speed now, otherwise mine shall be on my legs as well!

@missjeanie, between the Pan It! - 2024 Challenge and the Capsule Makeup Collection Challenge, and a few other things, I've been able to make a consistent and steady push at going through my stash. Don't get me wrong, still plenty of things I want to pick up and I do make purchases still (well, perhaps not too many this month), but it's been great to go through what I already have in my collection. It definitely ebbs and flows, but I'm getting a smidge better at being more selective as to what I pick up immediately and also at not falling into retail therapy. Better at this with some products over others, and there's been a lot less instances of fomo-driven purchases. 

Laneige has a richer moisturizer in its new water bank collection that sounds better suited for dry to very dry skin types. I'm fairly set with moisturizers that I know perform well for my skin, so I haven't picked it up just yet but may at some point. We shall see.

@itsfi May was a fantastic month of empties for you! It shows you are doing an excellent job shopping your stash! I am making note of the L'Occtiane serum. I am not in need of anything atm, but if it has been a repurchase of yours for years, that says a lot!

The L’Occitane oil in serum has been good to me. It’s one of those products that’s stood the test of time, 👍🏼
