These empties are from January/February.  The bag is now full which means garbage photo shoot!! My four year old caught me taking photos of my garbage and asked me why.  I was embarrassed.  I told him it’s so I don’t forget what stuff I love and so I have pictures to remind me.  It could be true.  🤗

oh this week I decluttered a whole lot of skincare.  Half my stash, all my foils but six, and most of my deluxe samples as well. Half a black garbage bag!   I was never going to get to them in this lifetime and may not get to a lot of what I kept.  it hurt a bit seeing all the waste but I feel such relief:)

@heartsmyface I totally understand the freedom of the declutter.  I decluttered three lipsticks and felt it.  I can't imagine the freedom of a trash bags worth!  I try to separate my deluxe samples/foils when they come in, I keep a rather large vase that the ones I'm not into go into and when friends come over they can grab whatever they want out of the vase.  Vase is gettin' mad full without having people over lol.  I've been caught a couple times saving empties and doing a photo shoot... I say the same thing... It's so I can keep track of what I like.  Can't seem too cray cray!

I gotta say... you worked though a ton as well.  well done. well done.

@missjeanie   I think it feels the same as a small declutter but perhaps requires taking a deeper breath when removing it from the house? It really did feel good.  I dont miss any of it and know I still have way more than I can use but at least it’s all stuff I know I’ll want to use.  
Without the regular traffic coming through my whole system has fallen apart.  If things got particularly bad,  I used to be able to pack up a box of stuff and leave it in the lunchroom at a conference and it would magically disappear.   🎩 🐰 🪄 

Ha, oh gosh when we were in Japan one time I grabbed my little stash of empties from the room cleaner as they were trying to do their job and clean the obvious garbage up, and still remember how embarrassed I was trying to explain myself with the language barrier.  I should have just let them go😅I hide them now when travelling which is self amusing.

@itsfi   Oh my gosh thank you.  My own inspiration came from a few decluttering videos on YouTube.  Ha, i think it’s been a long time coming. I’ve needed a major declutter for a few years now and all I needed was a little nudge (and to be able to open cupboards without things falling out). Seeing someone else do it first was what I needed.  

I don’t know why I was holding onto all those foils.   When I first got into makeup foils excited me and I had them all sorted and organized and was super happy to have them.  They somehow morphed into this burden over the years.  Im hoping, now that they’re gone, the few that come in will spark excitement to try new things again. Or I can just repeat the purge next spring 😁

It's so fascinating what just a little nudge can do @heartsmyface! Now, you can use and work through other products, including ones you purchased, and using things that are still available for repurchase when I finish up with it and find that I like it - as opposed to finding it's been discontinued for a while! That's what I've really been enjoying. The more I've decluttered, the easier it's gotten and it's been so nice to be able to donate or gift things as well. So thank YOU, hearts, for being the nudge I needed to really cause this whole purging and decluttering to finally materialize! 🤗

@CookieGirl1   Thanks.  I was doing another foil binge trying to use them up before stopping and realizing if I keep using foils the products I actually bought are never going to get used.  I won’t have many moving forward cause I decluttered them all.    I can fit most of my skincare (excluding lotions and masks) under my sink now:).
