Still on a big Japanese skincare kick. 

I would re-purchase everything here, except the Dior lash serum and the Drunk Elephant B-hydra. New holy grails: Tunemakers toner. Old HG: Kate lash primer (this might be my 8th tube), Paula's choice 2% BHA (old packaging, 3rd bottle), Bit lip primer (2nd tube). Fancle emulsion that's so overpriced here was an impulse by at the Japanese airport, but turned out to be wonderful, I just need to figure out how to get more of it. Dr. Jart ceramidine liquid was nice and hydrating, this Japanese mascara was good, and DHC lip balm is my 4th tube.

Wednesday Flower Road Pomegranate Snail Mask is one of those masks that I would buy in mass quantities if I could ever find it again. Such a great mask and how adorable is that packaging?!! Speaking of adorable masks that perform well, I love the hydration I get from The Crème Shop Slow Down, Skin! Face Mask. I have no opinion as to its anti-aging capabilities but it leaves my skin soft, plump and hydrated! 

I am also especially fond of the peripera Smoothie Time Avocado Mask Sheet (Nourishing) in the winter and/or when my skin leans more dry. This is one of my favorite avocado sheet masks.

Another fabulous hydrating mask is the Missha Pure Source Cell Sheet Mask (Bamboo); bamboo is one of those ingredients that has been a recent discovery of mine and I have to say that I love it – I’ve tried it in wash off masks, sheet masks, skincare products and it’s just a favorite ingredient of mine across the board. The sheet mask was no exception; this one would work superbly for daily sheet masking.

Megrhythm Gentle Steam Eye Masks were my favorite discoveries of 2018 and they continue to be deeply cherished by me. I’ve noticed that I reach for this yuzu scented one when my head is throbbing, congested or I’m having a particularly challenging time of getting to sleep, or falling back asleep. This one has the strongest scent to me; I ordinarily gravitate to the more subtly scented masks but like I said, this is a go to or nights when I’m having a harder time falling asleep.

The Nacific was a major fail for me, it was way too sticky for my preference, and I think this SC coconut mask, had to be an older one because it barely had any serum on the mask, and I have previously used the same mask and it was fine

I can't find my older empties photos, but good news is these were the last empties that qualified me for a $10 off certificate at BareMinerals. I mainly use The Ordinary salicylic acid for my body acne, KP and armpit odor because it's so cheap and effective. The Nyx setting spray started to make my face itch towards the end of the bottle. I think I realized that I just don't reach for setting spray often, so won't be repurchasing any

I am almost finished with Herbivores Rose Hibiscus Coconut Water Hydrating Face Mist... and of course I have a second bottle at the ready!  I love this, I use this as a toner at night and it is so soothing for my sensitive skin. I dont use a serum because they never seem to quite agree with my skin, so this goes over my treatment oil and then I use my face cream, which is a little lighter during the warmer time of year. Right now I am using Farmacy's Honey Potion and I love it!

A trial size moisturizer that was pretty good.  It felt very refreshing on my skin and not bad for a sampler.  I did like it.  I actually remembered to now t throw it out before taking a pic.

Skincare Empties 2018 I forgot to take pictures :(.  This is what I have used/bought in 2018 since I started my makeup/skincare journey last year in April.
Before I knew it was a thing to recycle skin care, I threw them away 😞

It took so long to recycle cuz I kept forgetting to gather them all and the bareminerals store isn't too close to me. I loved all of them!!! Now, I want to explore so I may not go back to these for awhile. I still have a lot of skincare in  my stash and some masks Im still trying to finish. I think the only thing I will be buying is sunscreen for the winter.  

Let's see if I can remember what I did throw away in 2018:

All of these masks were loves except for the OhK! and Prreti Moisture ChokChok at the bottom right. The OhK! was perfume-y and I could have done without the added fragrance as it was a great mask (think Glow Recipe Watermelon Jelly goodness). (💗 to @veronika23 for sending the Keroppi Crème Shop mask!)

Top is a 💗 a thousand times over. I rarely use concealer, but if I need it this is it. It takes a bit of work and coaxing, but as you tap it, it almost illuminates. The Dior is very nice but I compare everything to the Armani Luminous Foundation, and this seems to have denser coverage the first go-round. It also seemed to have a bit of a chemical scent, which I found unusual for Dior as their products usually have a very pleasant scent. I just chalk it up to the packaging.

Destashing the Tarte and Origins; the Armani replaced the Tarte and I have a backup of the Origins I need to start using. The Sephora Coconut Sleeping Mask was a wonderful gift from  and I would repurchase for a trip; the packaging and price are perfect!

The Prevage was just weird; like a cream banana powder that seemed to turn my skin yellow. Not a fan. Used the Elemis for my neck, didn’t care for the scent. The Shiseido cream was nice, I might repurchase when I get too lazy to blend my La La with different oils at night😄

 Dislikes: PTR cloud moisturizer, no matter how much I wanted to love this,,, and no matter how little amount I applied, my skin oil went ballistic. The Glamglow basically the same, used it once and that was all it took to know it's not for me. Liked the goat milk mask and loved everything else LikeDislikesLoves

Wow! I’m impressed with all the empties. My fiancé threw all my samples in a clutter drawer and now I have trouble remembering what I have unless I dig through it.

EmptiesThe more I use samples of it, the more I like the Tatcha Radiance Mask... not sure about purchasing it though because my experience of masks in pots is that they dry out before I finish using them 😕

The Black Pearl mask from My Beauty Diary was nice - the fit on this brand's masks are really good for me - caused no irritation, and left my face feeling soft. I only usually leave masks on for about 10-15 minutes, but you could easily leave this on for longer. 

The Jeju Natural Aloe mask is really nice and is dripping in serum, but the fit isn't as comfortable as the ones from My Beauty Diary. 

Finally finished up the Apricot Scrub (took forever because I only use it once a week) and, since I am so gentle when I use it, I would probably repurchase it if only it was cruelty free. That being said, you do have to be very careful when using it (or it will be too abrasive) and I think that I can probably find something else to replace it. 

HUM Nutrition - haven't used any of their products before, or any other melatonin products for that matter (kind of surprising given my long history of insomnia). I actually like this and did think that it helped me to go back to sleep when I woke during the night (didn't do anything to help me go to sleep initially though). That being said, I think it is a bit pricey compared to other options since I don't need it packaged with calcium and B vitamins because I already take those supplements. Definitely seemed to improve the quality of my sleep and I felt absolutely RUBBISH the next day when I slept without taking it (when I ran out of the three day sample). If you don't already have the other vitamins hanging around the house and want to package it into one pill then I think this would be a good option. 

I totally can't remember if I posted these already or not... the cleansing cloths are really good and took all traces of make-up off. 

The Milk mask had a smell that reminded me of hard boiled sweets and scented tobacco, which I didn't mind all that much since it reminded me of a sweet shop I used to frequent as a child, but the fit was just terrible for my face.

I liked the red ginseng mask and the seaweed mask but I don't know if I liked them enough to buy a pack of them.

@sockmagnet the apricot scrub sounds delicious! lol I understand tho about being careful, I found myself being too rough with my Walnut scrub 🤦

nope to the blueberry sheet mask, it contains alcohol high on the ingredients list, liked the banobagi mask and dp hue acv the vinegar smell was not overpowering and it did a good job at cleansing. 💗 everything else 😍
