The Fall Lip Challenge

Okay okay, so I know it isn't *technically* fall quite yet (we just had a heat wave in the Bay Area...) but we are just too excited to break out all of the mauves, browns and deep reds for this festive season! Whatever your take on a Fall lip is, we want to see your pics and hear your thoughts.

Here's the challenge: Dig into your lipstick stash and pull out those fall-themed lippies! Post below with your different looks and, of course, let us know what you're wearing. We love to hear application tips and your thoughts on the product.

I'm getting a little iffy with all my photos piling up in my folder and no way to delete/manage them so I'm going to start cropping them!

This is an oldie but goodie...NYX Intense Butter Gloss in Toasted Marshmallow. One of my first lip purchases ever when my whole lip product crazy started.

I LOVE the colour and how pigmented it is, but glosses are just still a no-no for me. I've already had to reapply twice, and of course my hair kept sticking to my lips (even though this gloss is not particularly sticky). If I rub my lips together absent mindedly, this easily migrates outside my lip line (annoying). It does leave a faint stain behind though after it's worn off, which is nice.

Oh wow - I love the name and I love how you look on it even more! This colour is amazing on you! You have such a lovely lips though that so many things look amaze on you but this is soooo pretty for fall!

That’s really gorgeous @k617! But I feel you on the glosses. I finally (mostly) stopped buying them because they typically don’t even last through the commute in to work! So pretty, but kind of pointless!

@k617 I used to ONLY wear lipgloss...now I can't figure out how I ever did it. Ugh the hair  getting caught in the gloss...so annoying! Although it looks amazing on you, too bad it's such a challenge to wear.

It's a plummy colour, so I'd say a mix of rose and purple!

Sad Girl (metallic black cherry) from Anastasia Beverly Hills. I love this shade, I think it's beautiful and love the shimmer. I had been trying the entire week during the last weekly wow to get this one, and finally was able to! I'm sad to say out of all the ABH liquid lips, this is the most drying. It started crumbling, and felt really drying on the lips. It also had a different applicator than the rest of my ABH lipsticks, which made it more difficult to apply. I think I'm going to end up returning this one, which is sad, because this shade is my favorite.
