The Fall Lip Challenge

Okay okay, so I know it isn't *technically* fall quite yet (we just had a heat wave in the Bay Area...) but we are just too excited to break out all of the mauves, browns and deep reds for this festive season! Whatever your take on a Fall lip is, we want to see your pics and hear your thoughts.

Here's the challenge: Dig into your lipstick stash and pull out those fall-themed lippies! Post below with your different looks and, of course, let us know what you're wearing. We love to hear application tips and your thoughts on the product.

I absolutely love it, it's the only type that I've found to last the entire day. I'll maybe try doing a double coat when I'm wearing burgundy next time because for now I've been using a really dark red coupled with bright red, but it's probably alot easier to just to two coats of starwoman

Pat Mcgrath Luxetrance in Beautiful Creature

Just received this beautiful lipstick from Pat Mcgrath in the shade "beautiful creature".  The opacity is off the chart!  I applied this lipstick directly to my slightly chapped lips and it is not flaky nor drying.  I'm in love~~

@PowdrPufAtelierOhhhhhh 💕 I have been eyeing that lipstick so much! : ) One thing I keep wondering about is the colour for each shade I'm finding it a bit difficult to figure out what the colours would look like so it's so nice to see someone wearing one!

Excuse how exhausted I look.  I’m wearing Kailijumei Flower lipstick in Barbie doll powder.  It’s  basically a ph reactive lip balm and not a lipstick in my eyes.  It stains well but is certainly not worth the price as it kinda tastes like chemicals.

@heartsmyface you look great! I like your eyeshadow it's so sparkly. I have that lipstick too I saw it at the seen on tv store and it looked nice but it tastes gross and it really stains your lips I used it a few times but it was so hard to get the stain off my lips I had to rub them raw before it would come off and it really turns shockingly bright pink. I think I ended up tossing it.

@greenwenvy Thanks.  And yeah, I feel a bit taken too.   I guess it’s all part of the process of gem makeup discovery.  I’m going to go try out one of the cheaper ones and see if they’re any better.  They had five flavours which is promising.  

As for getting stains off your lips, cleansing oil normally works and when that fails I pull out the Bite lip wipes.   They’re magic albeit a bit pricey for everyday use.

Not beauty related, but if you like savory pastries, try the dim sum in Hong Kong! They have one that's pretty popular and Michelin-rated. 🙂

@RoseCharlie For the ¥2400 they charge for these I don’t want to taste gasoline (not that bad but it tastes like something you’d find in a car shop). it dissipates but still.  At least make it taste like flowers.  

The trip is going well enough now.  We’re here in Japan until the 15th and then are off to Hong Kong.  I’ve never been there so i’m excited.  I guess I should start researching what I want to be looking for there.

@heartsmyface Yeah I hate bad smelling/tasting lipstick 😡  I feel like it's not that hard these days to make it smell decent at least so I'm totally with you there.  Woohooo Hong Kong! : ) SO glad your trip is going well - I'm definitely no expert but since I only found out about the Laduree cosmetic line a few weeks ago and I only just found out that they have in Japan I'm hoping you got to check that out! Swooon! Oh - I've heard LUSH Japan has a bunch of different/special products too! I bet they have special goodies in Hong Kong - hope you find the best stuff and have a blast.  : )
