The Fall Lip Challenge

Okay okay, so I know it isn't *technically* fall quite yet (we just had a heat wave in the Bay Area...) but we are just too excited to break out all of the mauves, browns and deep reds for this festive season! Whatever your take on a Fall lip is, we want to see your pics and hear your thoughts.

Here's the challenge: Dig into your lipstick stash and pull out those fall-themed lippies! Post below with your different looks and, of course, let us know what you're wearing. We love to hear application tips and your thoughts on the product.

Is it more of a rose or brown? Maybe ABH Dusty Rose or UD vice 1993

@ericanicole2005 In certain light, it looks more rose, then in others it is leaning brown. I tried putting pink things and brown things near it, lol- it’s leaning brownish. You all are color whizzes, so I figured why not ask. At least it could give me some direction should I bring it into a store. I’m going to look those 2 up. EDIT: if those two colors made a baby, I think this would be it!

Ulta Metallic Liquid Lipstick in Zeus47 attempts at a picture today, and this was the least awful. Dunno why it's so hard some days lol

Thanks so much! I think I'm about to go on a metallic lip kick...dry and pasty mattes have their place, but I am seriously digging sparkly now. I bought this months ago and kinda forgot about it, but now it's time to shine!

The, ummm, competition 😂 makes a lovely product. I am particularly digging these metallic liquids! Not sure if this particular one is still available; it came in a three pack late spring/early summer -ish with a dark plum and a bronze (odd colors for a summer set, but I couldn't pass it up!). I love the liquid-but-not-matte formula, and while they aren't transfer proof, somehow the color never seems to disappear...even after drink after drink and ring after ring on my glass, my lips still have plenty of sparkle and color. It's pretty phenomenal! I just ordered a few of their bullet lipsticks in various formulas to try as well. Everything I've had from them has been very nice quality for the price, so I expect to find more gems ☺️

I am finding that the more I post, the less I worry about making it perfect. I'm gonna critique a pic to death no matter what, even if it's a "good" shot, so I may as well just go for halfway decent and call it a day. I'm not sure if that means I'm giving up or just loosening up 😄

Do it! We're about all beauty here, even if it's from the competition...there are plenty of pics of stuff that Sephora doesn't sell here (even if it does seem a little weirder since it's from their direct competitor lol).
