Happy National Lipstick Day!

Coincidence: I had seriously considered trying a shade of Yves Saint Laurent The Slim Glow Matte Lipstick and even had one in my cart for a while. Not sure what made me hold off, but now I'm glad I received one as a gift. I'm testing it right now. The glitter is very subtle; I'll have to test it during daylight hours to see how it looks in sunlight. But for now, I like how non-drying Insurgent Red feels on my lips: not satin creamy, a bit dryer than a PMG MatteTrance, but nowhere near uncomfortable. It's holding up well to water so far, though I occasionally get a floral smaste. The scent's surprisingly lightweight for a YSL lipstick. 

It'll take me a while to get used to the tip shape during application.

I assume everyone got the same shades but, in case there's some variation, here's what I got:
