Hi all,

Wondering if the Lisa Eldridge lipsticks are worth hunting down? Thoughts?

I ended up with Velvet Midnight, Velvet Blush and Blush Lightly (plus Blush Lightly liner.)  @Sunnysmom  I kept considering Jazz but it looked so different on so many people, and was pinkish if dabbed instead of applied normally, I didn't want to take the chance of not liking it.

Those sound like great choices for you @Ispend2much6 . I have Midnight from before. Moody and fun. Jazz is so interesting - it can look cool toned and then very neutral other times I find almost warm. Its not pink on me but my lips are so weird. Lol. It’s more neutral than Myth which is more wine pinky deep red to me. I wear both Jazz and Myth a bunch. Wait you got Myth before didn’t you? Sorry! 🤦🏻‍♀️ Blush is so good isn’t it!

By chance anyone know how close Mac rebel and Le myth are ? That use to be one of my favorites when i wore bold lips, along with Mac diva. But i wanted a matte version of rebel and diva was too drying.  

also now I’m having fomo from not having ordered the matching liner to cinnabar.  And the foundation samples are still oos damn lol

@aviscardi Here is Myth on top of Rebel. 
Rebel is def more to the berry purple on me at least. I love Diva too.  🤗

TY. @Sunnysmom  hmm very interesting but not quite there.

I haven’t ventured out into other brands for a cinnabar-esque liner mostly because i like matching brands, even though i like to interchange the combos. Was actually thinking about trying dragon paired with cinnabar to mute it down. But the liner & foundation samples are oos.

That sounds pretty @aviscardi , I get that and bet it could work nicely. I’m still sitting here w Cinnabar fomo lol. You think more red or truly too warm leaning. Hope she has the samples soon!

I was chatting with someone on Ig and they sent me comparison pics and i loved the way it looked. Dragon with cinnabar liner. I don’t know if I’m brave enough for dragon alone but paired with affair liner will have to do for now lol. I have a pic on my IG as well paired with affair liner & cinnabar. For some reason it leans more red  on swatch, but it definitely showed a rusty red brown on my lips, more dirty. I suspect it’s one of those shades that’s going to change depending on your lip pigment & skintone   I will say it looked more orange based on Lisa so I don’t know if that’s due to the lipliner also.  & i blotted in between too! So not as intense as her pic on Ig either.

right now light 2 set is back in stock, so I don’t know if i should wait til light 1 is back to have a proper comparison of shades. Wish i would have realized you could order multiples day of launch

That sounds good @aviscardi , i bet it’s pretty! Hmm ok thanks, I suspect this is one of these rusty tones I can not wear. It does look lighter and more orange toned on Lisa and a few others. I probably know better than to risk it because Jazz is probably as warm as I can go. Lol. And true that a liner could change it but then I may as well just not because now it’s a total new color 🤦🏻‍♀️😂.  I did end up ordering a few other things after my initial order so I was able to do a diff shade card and it is def helpful. I didn’t realize I would be able to get another one so that was good.  Hope you can get it soon. 💞

Def. I took a shot because i was so drawn to the shade, far from my usual warm toned nude lol. I fear i may end up ordering dragon with light 2 but then when light 1 comes back in stock, tempted to get something else lol. What did you end up ordering the 2nd time ? And yea i think it’s because there’s still a lot in stock and we’ve never seen that happen haha. @Sunnysmom

Ha I know @aviscardi , I was way out of my comfort zone with Blush lip lol. We are on opposite ends of the colors aren’t we!  It’s fun to go out of our comfort zones sometimes.  The first order I just got a few lip pencils and then I went back and added a fresh Myth and Jazz lip because mine felt kind of heavy draggy and I worried about them turning.

@Sunnysmom  It's funny but I like the darker two better!  Go Lightly is okay, but it's bordering on too bright without enough depth for me.  Those lip liners pack a punch- and they last!  My favorite is Midnight.

Funny @Ispend2much6 , glad you have some you like. Go Lightly looked pretty but no matter what I find her pics to not be quite right once I get em! Lol. I love love the lip pencils. They’re very comfy on the their own I think!

What brand and products are you guys talking about?

@lcss716   The brand is the founder's name- Lisa Eldridge.  She sells her products from her own site, her name plus "dot com" and nowhere else.  They're great products!!

I’ll check in the morning @aviscardi . I suspect Myth is more to the red but maybe I’m wrong. I hate fomo!😂 ( Btw I am thinking the new Dior holiday lip is kind of similar to Cinnabar plus not quite as matte. It’s really nice! I wonder if one of their lip pencils would also be similar to it? Or Chanel of course.)

@Sunnysmom  No, I didn't get Myth.  It looks so pretty, but I've gotten rid of all of my vampy shades because they really are too dark for me. So, I was afraid to get that one.  It's one of my favorite tones though!

Jazz seemed warm to me, but warmer reds do better for me for some reason. 

I can see you liking Myth!

Yup I think Jazz is a dot warmer too, neutral I think . I was curious how the new holiday tube in Givenchy 37 compared so I swatched it just for fun on top of Jazz, Myth and then put Midnight too. (I think mine turned bec it’s super purple! Sure didn’t think it started that way?! 🤦🏻‍♀️ Curious to see yours when you get it .) I thought 37 was closer to Jazz or Myth  and it isn’t so ignore it. Lol. My arm was too stained to start over!  (Sorry if pic dark. Tricky. These are clearly heavy swatches tho I didn’t really try to!)

@Sunnysmom  The Givenchy is much brighter than the rest; pretty!  Jazz still confuses me. But, I think Myth would look fine as a stain!  Thanks for the swatches!

I know @Ispend2much6 ! Me too! Lol. It looks different in diff lighting too obv but you may like to pick it up sometime if not too vampy:). Yes the Givenchy velvet formula is very comfy, I do like it! 💞
