100 Days of Lipstick Challenge

Hi BIC!

A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.

Lipstick 275: Gucci Velvet Matte Lipstick 702 Anne Lilac 

I blotted Anne Lilac down at the perimeter of my lips for a softened look.

Today I realized I’ve worn only one other Gucci lipstick for this challenge (Valentine Verdante), so I kinda randomly grabbed a shade. All my Gucci matte bullets have performed similarly: great opacity in just 1 or 2 coats, slight smaste that dissipates within 5 minutes, no bleeding/feathering, and a lovely velvet matte finish that doesn’t make my lips a desert. And I love that Gucci hasn’t been afraid to release “unconventional” lip shades. I think I have at least one other lipstick that’s very close to Anne Lilac, and I might’ve worn it already for this challenge… gotta check on that tomorrow. I don’t see myself decluttering Anne Lilac though.

I also just noticed I’ve only worn 3 of my Guerlain Rouge Gs for this thread. I do need to check on those very soon for spoilage, and I want to label each of those bullets more clearly with shade numbers (they’re printed so teeny tiny on each bullet, my old lady eyes can’t decipher ‘em even with readers), so… maybe I’ll try getting through all the Rouge Gs next. 🤔
