monthly gifts for VIB Rouge

What is the monthly gift that is listed as a perk for VIB ROUGE? I’ve never received a free anything...except for birthday gift when you can remember to ask for it

Hi, all.

This info has been shared multiple times throughout this thread, but here's another refresh.

The monthly gifts are just gifts with purchase. Specifically, a VIB/VIB Rouge exclusive promo code that is sent out via email each month. Typically, these GWPs consist of two to three minis from a single brand with a buy-in of $35.

Make sure that you're subscribed to Sephora's email list in order to receive these monthly promotions. It also wouldn't hurt to keep an eye on the current active promo codes threads. Whenever a new promo code is released, someone always posts about it there. I'll link the threads below.

Adding this for even more clarity: promo codes like YOURGIFT, SURPRISEME, and MYGIFT are NOT monthly gifts. These codes are basically a dumping ground for old promo code stock and the selection changes often.

I asked an in store associate who had never heard about it and they just gave me a handful of free samples to make up for it!

I have been a VIB member for awhile and just read that “free monthly gifts” is one of the perks 🙄. I have never received a free monthly gift ever. I order online and make in store purchases all the time. I’m just reading about this “perk” for the first time because they want me to spend $60 to keep my VIB status. Why?! So I can continue not receiving the perks I apparently should have been receiving all these years??

I hear ya! I ran into this previously and just hit VIB again this year & there is NO incentive to hit VIB because there really aren't any "perks" more than a regular member.

it's a gift with purchase. you get the emails every now and then. usually a 35 dollar buy in. I think VIB get the emails too

You get a gift for being Rouge? lol...this is my second year as Rouge, and I've never heard a thing about a monthly gift! (Why does that sound like a euphemism for my period?)

It sounds like it’s a GWP which, you know, isn’t exactly a gift. FWIW, I’ve *never* gotten any extra samples at the register or special treatment when I’ve said it was Rouge. It doesn’t seem to hold as much cache as I thought it would.

You have to make sure you’re subscribed to emails to receive the code. I also heard that they go fairly quickly because they don’t have enough stock for everyone. Ask In the customer service group if you’re subscribed to those emails. Before you make a purchase check your email for promos and search beauty offers, I always find something good. Sometimes they have deluxe sample codes so I feel less sad about missing the VIB/Rouge gift.

I’m Rogue and have never received a free gift ever and my store says they don’t give out free samples as VIB gifts or Rogue, everything the website says they do is denied by the manager!! I would love to see her makeup collections cause she has to be restocked her bags with the samples 🙄

I lived in Georgia and the Sephora there would give me a gift after I purchased not using my points I went to Miami for the summer and the cashier there treated me like a celebrity lol 😂 and I also got a big flower bag from them with goodies. But I moved to Texas and I told the associate about the monthly free gifts and she looked at me like I was crazy and then she asked her manager and she said “We dont do that here” I thought all sephoras where the same 😒 Except JCP Sephora they didnt have the montly gifts which is fine. She was so rude to me for asking for my montly gift. 🙅🏻‍♀️ Stop going to that sephora will look for another one.

@Nativepride @blueeyedhippie  The monthly gift is a special promo code that is emailed to VIB and Rouge members. It's usually a brand-specific 3 pc. GWP that you can get with a $35-$45 buy in. You can check out the promo code threads below for recent ones. They're only available online, so make sure you're signed up to receive emails from Sephora.

I believe, and I could be wrong, but the monthly gift is by using the standing code YOURGIFT. That code is always available.

@GG84 for sure!!! I don’t always get them, which is really odd to me that everyone doesn’t get these codes even when they’re subscribed, but most people are good about posting them to the Canadian promo thread. @veronika23 Do you always get the VIB promo gift code email?

@bakeamuffin  yes I think I get most of them... and you are right. Someone will always post in the promo thread. Also good to check the other promo thread too (primarily US) because sometimes those codes also work for us. I find I will always find the information on BIC first. People are really good at sharing. 🙂

Oh no!! I've been missing out! I didn't even know it's a thing. And I've been rouge for the past 2 years. 

As some of you said it's the promo code for vib and rouge, so vib gets that benefit too?

I've been missing out as well!!!. I have all Sephora E-mails marked as important so they all go to a separate inbox folder. After reading this I went through all my inbox folders even spam. There is nothing about a Code to use! I even get the Play box each month (which I'm still not sure I absolutely love it but what I can't use I give to the girls at work) and I didn't receive my confirmation e-mail that it was shipped til the day after I received it in the mail. Not sure if there is a computer glitch on there end but I would love to know what I am missing out on. I'm going to my local Sephora today so I might ask about the gift with purchase there and have the website up on my phone. I'm a prove it kind of woman lol. I just started shopping at Sephora and I'm VIB now. I just made a purchase but there was nothing about codes or gifts. How do I make sure I receive these emails? I made sure that I'm subscribed for everything.

They will send you an email..there was one a couple weeks ago for example, spend $35 and get a mini Urban decay set (lipstick, mascara and setting spray).

Everytime I go to a Sephora and buy something as a VIB Rouge I get a free gift 🤗!!! I recently moved and went to a Sephora where the lady I asked her what was the free gift for this month with purchase She looked at me like I was crazy and told me you don't get a gift If you get something is a leftover from a promotion. 😑 I left that sephora I was not going to stay there and tell her otherwise.. This is the first time Ive ever been looked at or talked to so rudely. My boyfriend was with me and said her attitude stinks and so does this place. I'll look for another Sephora 😌
