Another wash day! Honestly, I don’t usually wash my hair this frequently, but I had to beat the heat by going for a swim, so a wash was warranted. 

technically, this is my second attempt using the dae Cactus Fruit 3-in-1 Styling Cream Original . My first attempt was an epic fail, but I have tried it again and have a new take on it!

first impressions

• like previously mentioned, the scent is amazing
• i I like the texture, and you really don’t need to use a lot
• i used it two of the advertised ways - on damp hair to prep for styling and on damp air dried hair. Unfortunately I don’t have curls, so I can’t speak on how it performs as a curl definer

on damp, then blow dried hair

• like I’ve mentioned before, I have some HG products for this purpose, and something would have to really wow me to get me to sway. Unfortunately, I really didn’t like this as a pre-blow dry product.
• i think I may have used too much initially, so I’m willing to try again, but I found my hair to feel heavy and almost like there was a film on it after blow drying 
• my hair felt very greasy, and there was no way I’d be able to get away without washing it as long as I normally go
• i thought my ends looked a little limp

air-dried hair

• this is where it really shined - I don’t have any products for air dried hair, so I was hopeful that this might be the best way for me to use this product
• I used the amount pictured and ran it through my hair, focusing on the mid and ends. I didn’t use any detangling product, and then combed through. Although not advertised, this did a solid job detangling my hair as well
• once brushed, I just let it be! Picture one is when my hair was about 90% dry, and picture two is around 8 hours later. I didn’t use any heat styling products, additional products, and honestly didn’t even brush it through between those photos being taken (it was one of those days!!)
• my hair did not feel greasy (I think using less was the answer), and honestly felt pretty voluminous and bouncy even though it was air dried 
• I often give my air dried hair a little oomph with a blow dryer once it’s fully dried, but I didn’t feel the need to do that today
• i thought it held up pretty well! Normally I’d straighten the front pieces and some flyaways, so I know it would look even better when I do that!
• I didn’t notice additional frizz. Maybe a little less than normal at the beginning of the day 
• overall, very impressed with this product when used for air dried hair!

@cianni Great feedback! I think this will work well for air dried hair for me also. I have fine hair that can get frizzy. I tried to avoid anything that will weigh down my hair when blow drying. Thanks so much for sharing. I am looking forward to the scent too!

@cianni Aww thank you. When I add heat to my hair it appears fuller. It is an illusion lol. Likewise, I always admire how beautiful your hair is 😍

Yes, it's been pleasantly surprising @cianni I add a little bit more than a pea sized amount and work it into my damp hair focusing on the lengths. I see a big difference in how my hair looks compared to air drying on its own.

What's impressive is how it looks on day 2 and 3, it's still has some body and definition that it normally dosen't have. 👌

@cianni  Taking note to use the Dae for air drying hair, which is what I normally do.
