Sephora Rewards Bazaar Previews and Discussions

A thread for updates on the Rewards Bazaar, including previews of upcoming rewards and discussion regarding the upcoming rewards and questions.

New rewards are posted on Tuesdays and Thursdays - usually right around 9 am PST / 12 pm EST

General information:

• The Rewards Bazaar is supposed to have new point perks released on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 9 am and 5pm PST
• There is no set time for the perks to be released - we have to wait and see when they become available between 9 and 5
• However, so far the rewards have been released almost exactly around 9 am PST
  There seem to be only a few perks added at a time (each day)
• Some perks will be listed as "coming soon" and may arrive on a later date
• The newly added perks will range from 100 points to 50,000 points
  Sephora's T&C state that the larger perks (750 points +) are only available online
• The smaller 100-500 point perks are available in store, while supplies last There are limited quantities of the perks available
• We aren't sure why the rewards seem to appear on different devices/browsers at different times There may not be any "big" point perks added.
• Some days we may only see smaller 100, 250, or 500 point perks added.

@heartsmyface sephora has a lot of promo for the whole year that its more than enough to buy necessities and new releases in that time it is not beneficial for customers to redeem points based on that offer

Well I was able to snag the $50 one today! I was holding out for a while for the $100 but in light of the swirling rumors I decided I'd rather take a slight point to dollar loss than risk not being able to convert to money at all and only a discount

Saw this on Instagram. It’s happening, your points are now going to be used for percentages off your purchase starting in January

 15% off only covers the tax for me so I won't bother using any points if this is all they have available and we get sales with 20% off at least twice a year anyway unless they are planning to change that too.

@SportyGirly125  Aw that kinda sucks.  I’ve been saving my points for years and have saved enough for any trip they’ve offered in the past and now it’s being reduced to a discount 😕

@heartsmyface Someone said that they won’t be taking away the rewards Bazaar and that they are testing this out to see the response it gets.

@SportyGirly125 I don’t think it’s going to go over well.  Not here anyway.  Having to spend $1000 to get the taxes off an entirely separate purchase is insane.

I’m late to the party and only just saw this thread. 😱Hopefully it’snot too late for me to cash out more points if they’re doing away with $100 rewards. Way worse than expected. If they don’t allow us to combine percentages off with the rouge sales, will be very sad. Maybe time to start ordering direct from companies even more.

OMG! Sephora is so freaking cheap! Years ago they tested this and it was 20% off for 1k points. I swear. They just keep going down, and down, and down.

@veronika23  My 30000 points are very upset that they’re not worth anything anymore.  I’m actually quite pissed that I saved my points bypassing smaller perks Forever only to get 15percent off a friggen purchase.  
edit- i just read they’re keeping the bazaar.

@heartsmyface  I feel the same way! Even if they are keeping it it's super hard to get a 100$ gc.  I just want to be able to splurge on something with my points... it sucks we can't even stack the gc...

Yeah seriously @blackkitty2014 ! I just want to be able to buy stuff with my points that I might not buy otherwise because of the price point. I mean how long have people here been saying this??? I don't understand why they just don't listen. I also don't understand why they thought 15% off for 1K points would be a good idea when they made a test run with 20% off for 1k points and that never rolled out as a perk. Seriously just listen to your customers Sephora! We all sound like broken records at this point.

@veronika23   They probably realized that to honour al the points out there they would have to take the money out of their profits.  so they made the points worth nothing unless people gave rhem

more money to wipe out their point debt.  🙃

@heartsmyface  yeah probably... with so few rewards people keep accumulating points and have them sit there because they can't redeem them. They need to make major changes. It will surely hurt them at first but eventually balance itself out.

definitely disappointed - I'm perfectly happy waiting for the semi-annual sales for the discounts - I don't need to use points for it. And the amount you'd have to spend to get the same benefit of one o the $50 or $100 coupons isn't anywhere close. It's not a very good benefit at all - it's worse than what we have now which was already pretty bad compared to Ulta

Yeahhhhh, that's not a very good deal.  Tarte has a rewards system where you can redeem points for a percentage off, but it's stupid since you can already just wait for a promotional period to get 10, 15, 20, 25% off.  The cold hard cash is always a better option.  

Every year I make rouge, I also make VIB and get that 10% off discount, but I haven't used the 10% VIB discount in like 4 years.  It's just so paltry it's not even worth my time.

I think they even stopped giving out the 10% codes LOL. I haven’t received one this year or last year.

Yeah, the 10% code was replaced by the tier gift options- lower shipping threshold, points, or 2 makeovers.

Honestly I quite like the point tier celebration gift, it was an upgrade. Too bad they're discontinuing that next year >.>
