Extraordinary Rewards Experience

Hi Everyone,

We wanted to take a moment to let you know that we are hearing your feedback regarding today’s Extraordinary Rewards experience. If we haven’t been able to respond to you personally yet, please know that we have read your feedback and definitely understand your frustration. The rewards sold out much quicker than we anticipated, so we were unable to send out the planned email or post to our social channels. We’re sorry if you missed out on these exciting rewards. The response has been overwhelming and we are happy to announce that there will be more extraordinary rewards coming this year.

If you have specific questions or need assistance, please PM a moderator for help. We appreciate your understanding and value the helpful feedback you’ve provided here on BeautyTalk.

Re: Extraordinary Rewards Experience

Ummm...How do you know who all those pictures are of?

What you did does go against forum guidelines.  And while I'm not saying it's technically illegal, it is morally questionable.  Just my two cents.  Hate on me for it if you like.  I don't have a Facebook page for you to post on here.

Re: Extraordinary Rewards Experience

Ok well what I am doing is "morally questionable" and against Sephora policy and what she did is morally questionable and against Sephora policy. Since all of you are acting very laid back about what she did and endorsing the idea that she can do whatever she pleases, then give me the same courtesy. Thanksss

Re: Extraordinary Rewards Experience

There is nothing morally questionable about what she did.  She received a gift, didn't like it, so she put it up for sale on ebay.  Her reselling it doesn't hurt any body else.

If you want to argue that her reselling *hurt* other users because she took away an opportunity from them because the rewards program is a zero-sum game, that's still a logical fallacy.  Her reselling isn't the issue; her receiving the prize at all is the issue.  If she had won the prize and kept it, it still would have meant that the opportunity was taken away from someone else.

At the end of the day, what I'm seeing here is people being butt hurt that they didn't get a prize.  Jealousy is an ugly disease!  😛

Re: Extraordinary Rewards Experience

You posted this to put this person "on blast" but no one is taking the bait and applauding your efforts. I don't care for resellers either but at this point why personally go after this person? Why not question how many of this perk was available? Why didn't sephora notify anyone?

instead you choose to vilify people because you missed out on the perks. Look at the big picture.

Re: Extraordinary Rewards Experience

She isn't the one posting someone's personal pictures on BT.  I don't find what she did morally questionable.  And you don't know if she intended to sell it when she redeemed it.  So we don't know that she violated any policies.  She seems to have kept the rest of the set.  You can do whatever you please too.  Just dont post about it if it's unkind.

Re: Extraordinary Rewards Experience

LOL, annec322! Presumably that's your face on your avatar? 😉

Re: Extraordinary Rewards Experience

Yep lol but believe it or not I detest social media and this site is as close as I come to it!

Re: Extraordinary Rewards Experience

But you took the time to find out this info for the sake of what? Vengeance? Anger? You either know this person or spent enough time going through her account to find this out. That's effort. Most of us missed the perks we wanted, so what it ends up on eBay. Heck she could have signed it herself with a red sharpie.

Re: Extraordinary Rewards Experience

I'm off to sign some cookbooks with fishy-looking Js.

Re: Extraordinary Rewards Experience

LMFAO!!!!!!! I needed that thanks choco  🙂

Re: Extraordinary Rewards Experience

Seriously.  Just putting it out there: if you're buying this stuff on ebay, there's no guarantee that someone didn't just grab a sharpie and sign a kat von d palette.  Anyone with a sharpie and a palette could make this.

Re: Extraordinary Rewards Experience

Now there's gonna be a flood of signed Kat von D palettes out there. 😉

Re: Extraordinary Rewards Experience

Not if they're smart -- they'll wait for xmas and easily make 2x what they would have made around May.  😉

Re: Extraordinary Rewards Experience

You are never gonna let me forget I said that looked like a fish are you?  Lmao

Re: Extraordinary Rewards Experience

Nope. LOL

Re: Extraordinary Rewards Experience

The book pictured was sideways!  It was confusing!  Lol

Re: Extraordinary Rewards Experience

I thought you meant fishy as in suspicious...

Unintended or intended pun?

Re: Extraordinary Rewards Experience

Hahah, intended!

Re: Extraordinary Rewards Experience

Ahaha, choco! You cracked me up with that one 😄

Re: Extraordinary Rewards Experience

LOL @misscg. I was thinking the same thing. "She could have signed it herself".

I always think that when I see things signed by someone.

Re: Extraordinary Rewards Experience

There's no way to really know so why get hype over a signed item unless you witnesses the person doing it.
