Extraordinary Rewards Experience

Hi Everyone,

We wanted to take a moment to let you know that we are hearing your feedback regarding today’s Extraordinary Rewards experience. If we haven’t been able to respond to you personally yet, please know that we have read your feedback and definitely understand your frustration. The rewards sold out much quicker than we anticipated, so we were unable to send out the planned email or post to our social channels. We’re sorry if you missed out on these exciting rewards. The response has been overwhelming and we are happy to announce that there will be more extraordinary rewards coming this year.

If you have specific questions or need assistance, please PM a moderator for help. We appreciate your understanding and value the helpful feedback you’ve provided here on BeautyTalk.

Re: Extraordinary Rewards Experience

Good point.  They should have a certificate of authenticity to go with the signature, like celebrity signed items have.

Re: Extraordinary Rewards Experience

Who told you that putting pictures on the internet makes them free for public use?  So not true.  Not even close to true.

Re: Extraordinary Rewards Experience

It's all about the expected level of privacy. Posting pictures publicly online does not equate to someone believing their images were protected and private. Calling her a reseller isn't a false accusation either as far as I'm concerned so yeahhh

Re: Extraordinary Rewards Experience

No, it's about copyright, right of publicity and a few other things which I believe your q&a mentions but I guess you didn't understand.

Re: Extraordinary Rewards Experience

PMd Candace to request this post be taken down.

Re: Extraordinary Rewards Experience

Good.  I flagged it a while ago and it doesn't seem like it helped...

Re: Extraordinary Rewards Experience

If there wasn't a demand for certain "exclusive" products these resellers wouldn't be doing this.

I could care less if they choose to sell the items. Does it tick me off? Sure, but I'm not the one that would be purchasing anyway. By the look of it there are already bidders, so more power to the seller/winner.

While I can understand that some may think that posting a picture of this lady and putting her on blast is poor taste, she is the individual that chooses to have images of herself/children where anyone can view them. While I'm not saying it is right, let us not forget that when things are posted online the information can be accessed by virtually anyone.

Re: Extraordinary Rewards Experience

Yea it can be accessed by virtually anyone, but the poster tracked this chick down and put up her Instagram or Twitter account because she's pissed she missed out on a contour palette that's still for sale sans the signature. That's not cool at all.

Re: Extraordinary Rewards Experience

She did post these pictures online, but it doesn't make it appropriate for them to be posted here without her consent.

Would you be okay with some stranger taking pictures of you and posting them up, because you choose to walk around outside publicly? Because anyone can see you if they're outside.

Re: Extraordinary Rewards Experience

Is that a serious question? Of course no individual would  be ok with a random stranger taking pictures just because you walk outside.

All i'm saying is nothing is ever really as private as we'd like it.

Re: Extraordinary Rewards Experience

Of course it's a serious question. It's not the question of privacy that I'm alluding to here, but rather consent. You don't have permission to use her pictures, just like how a random stranger does not have permission to take your picture without your consent.

Re: Extraordinary Rewards Experience

So does this mean we should race to the bottom of callous behavior? How far down do we drag each other for material, temporary, replaceable, expendable things before we realize nobody wins? How far down is far enough?

Re: Extraordinary Rewards Experience

Of course it doesn't, and nowhere in my post did I agree with it. Truth be told nothing is all sunshine and rainbows and there are behaviors that people will exhibit that we don't like.

We just take it and move on…or at least we should.

Re: Extraordinary Rewards Experience

Shrugging it off and just accepting this kind of behavior encourages bullying. It's not right.

Re: Extraordinary Rewards Experience

Who's bullying? I expressed a different way of looking at the post. Seems like there's a bunch of "mean girls" here that will crucify anyone that has a differing way of looking at things..

Re: Extraordinary Rewards Experience

I hope that there's no bullying here! I just thought this was a discussion on personal privacy, etc. and we're all sharing our opinions on it. No one has personal ill feelings towards anyone on BT, I would hope. Well, unless it's for a good reason that justifies those feelings...

Re: Extraordinary Rewards Experience

Mean girls?  Please do not call these ladies that because they are sticking up for someone.  That cannot possibly qualify as mean.  The fact that you don't care that a woman's personal pictures and those of her kids are getting posted in a derogatory manner puts you in the wrong in my opinion.  You have been very defensive of the OP's right to "put her on blast" and that's not cool.  No one is crucifying you.  But on BT, we try to stand up for each other.

Re: Extraordinary Rewards Experience

That is fine annec322 if you think I am wrong. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions.

Clearly the regular posters stick up for each other and that's great.

Re: Extraordinary Rewards Experience

I've got news for you: not all of the regular posters on BT like each other.  Everyone is an individual capable of reaching their own conclusions.  What you're seeing here is everyone chiming in because a lot of us agree that this woman doesn't deserve to be publicly shamed for reselling her gift.  You're bloodlust is in the minority here.  Accept that your decision to shame her is an unpopular decision.

then try accepting Jesus in your heart or something because jealousy is an ugly thing.  Seriously, you're looking so butt hurt right now I'm a little embarrassed for you.

Re: Extraordinary Rewards Experience

@itscarin- My bloodlust?

My initial post was in response to the image/ebay account of someone. Some individuals decided to say I was wrong because they didn't agree with what I wrote.. When In fact I didn't have an opinion either way.

Re: Extraordinary Rewards Experience

Someone already asked this; what is the intent in posting the pictures of her?  You went out of your way to go stalker-azzi on her.  I feel like you're playing the victim here.  You started this conversation and when people told you you've gone too far and should redact her personal pictures, you act like everyone is ganging up on you.  So far, I haven't seen anyone make any personal attacks on you.

I'm not telling you you should take down her pictures.  I think you've gone too far, but whatever.  Do what you gotta do.  I just don't think so you should be hating on this woman so hard.

At the end of the day, I don't think this is a BFD.  I just hate seeing people acting spiteful.  The way you posted her instagram pics makes it look like you're trying to publicly shame her.

Let me go on the record here and say, if I wasn't banned for life from paypal, and if I had gotten one of the rewards, I wouldn't hesitate to put it on ebay and try to sell it so I could cash in and get some stuff I really wanted!  I know it's against the rules, but IDGAF about the rules.  (Clearly... that's why I'm banned from paypal for life!)  I think people should mind their business and if it's not hurting anyone, let people do their thing.  (see: "don't snitch" "can I live?" "yolo" and the wiccan rede.)
