Re: Sephora Savings Event 2025 Shopping Advice Thread: What’s in Your Basket?

I always enjoy reading your posts @itsfi. You have a great eye for finding those new must haves. You put so many goodies on my radar. 🙃

I really hope to get a chance try Plur's new scents in store before the sale. Especially  PHLUR Mini Heavy Cream Body and Hair Fragrance Mist 3 oz / 88.7 mL , it's the one that that's caught my eye, is it one of the ones you tested in store possibly?

Re: Sephora Savings Event 2025 Shopping Advice Thread: What’s in Your Basket?

@CynthieLu, that's a pretty scent. It was just too soft and didn't last as long on me as I would have liked. I know the fragrance mists generally don't last as long but I was hoping that the scent would be a bit stronger. You should definitely try to test it in store though since fragrance is such a personal thing.

Re: Sephora Savings Event 2025 Shopping Advice Thread: What’s in Your Basket?

@itsfi I'm going to have to look into that Clemintine dream. Great list!

Re: Sephora Savings Event 2025 Shopping Advice Thread: What’s in Your Basket?

@Samtian, it's definitely worth looking into. It's fresh, light and yes citrusy, but not overly so - the vanilla in it gives it a warm, creamy, softness, without making it smell like an orange creamsicle. I love orange creamsicle but I wasn't wanting it in this fragrance. 😂 I know we share a love of the citrus scents from the Atelier Cologne brand - this 7 Virtues is different than any of those perfumes (other than having a citrus scent).

It's been a hit with many, some folks here, and others in my personal life who have different tastes when it comes to fragrances.

Re: Sephora Savings Event 2025 Shopping Advice Thread: What’s in Your Basket?

@itsfi Ooh sounds good, I'll add it to my ever growing wish list haha.

Re: Sephora Savings Event 2025 Shopping Advice Thread: What’s in Your Basket?

@Samtian, you're so right, the wish list is always growing!!! If there are other fragrances from 7 Virtues you're interested in trying, the The 7 Virtues Perfume Layering Discovery Set  might be a good way to go. I'm hoping that they'll release sample vials of the Clementine Dream as a gwp.

Re: Sephora Savings Event 2025 Shopping Advice Thread: What’s in Your Basket?

@itsfi Ooh a newer set since the last time I looked, adding that now, thanks!

Re: Sephora Savings Event 2025 Shopping Advice Thread: What’s in Your Basket?

@Samtian, it’s got quite a few good ones. 😍 A month or so ago, a BIC member posted about layering Clementine Dream and Candied Lychee - oh my goodness, it is such a good pairing! 7virtues

Re: Sephora Savings Event 2025 Shopping Advice Thread: What’s in Your Basket?

@Samtian I bought clementine dream during my work shift because I love citrus smelling perfumes.

Re: Sephora Savings Event 2025 Shopping Advice Thread: What’s in Your Basket?

@CynthieLu @Samtian it smells like a cuties orange with a hint of sweet vanilla. I smell a hint of the amber after it has settled on my skin.

Re: Sephora Savings Event 2025 Shopping Advice Thread: What’s in Your Basket?

@itsfi Great list! How are you enjoying the YSL blush? I have been going back and forth on this one. The packaging is beautiful. I am inter in shade 44. I wonder if you will end up picking up the Givenchy 🤔

Re: Sephora Savings Event 2025 Shopping Advice Thread: What’s in Your Basket?

@Mellmars1185Yves Saint Laurent Make Me Blush 24H Buildable Powder Blush 44 Nude Lavalliere  would look gorgeous on you! I have 44 and now Yves Saint Laurent Make Me Blush 24H Buildable Powder Blush 6 Rose Haze . 44 is a pretty, mauve-y shade with a sheen to it. The 44 shade is one I go for often in YSL products, though the cheek shades wear so differently, on me, at least, when it comes to blush vs. lip products. 44 is one of the shimmery blushes in this collection (#6 is more matte), but to me, it gives off more of a soft reflective sheen that sparkle.

I told myself that if I use up one of the loose powders I've been working on before the sale ends (a real possibility), then maybe I can get it at the end of the sale. I'm sorta hoping one of the stores near me will carry it so I can test / swatch it. I'm going to try really hard to just do two hauls this first weekend - one small online one for products only available online and one medium haul in store (or BOPIS), and then one last very small haul a day or two before the sale ends. That's the plan in my head ... no guarantees it'll actually play out that way. 🤣

Re: Sephora Savings Event 2025 Shopping Advice Thread: What’s in Your Basket?

@itsfi amazing list! I love how you have everything written out so neatly in your notebook. I keep notes like that in a digital "journal" which is just a doc on my laptop, so it doesn't look nearly as nice 😂

You have some great choices here, and a good mix of replenishing loves, new goodies to try, and gifts. I definitely hear you re: trying to edit my cart and somehow ending up adding to it instead - that always seems to happen, somehow!

I can't believe the sale is so close already! 😲

Re: Sephora Savings Event 2025 Shopping Advice Thread: What’s in Your Basket?

@caitbird, I love digital journals; it's so nice to have it all in one place, and easier to refer back to. With shopping lists it's harder for me to keep it under control when I try a digital list, so I've been going with 1-2 pages in a physical journal. I tell myself my list cannot go beyond those pages. 😂 More psychological than anything, as evidenced by my actual Sephora shopping cart. Ha!

Right now, my ideal plan would be to pick up / order the gifts, sunblock, one new-to-me item, and a couple of products that are only available online over the first weekend, and then wait until the last or second to last day to pick up a few more things that I feel like I really want before diving into a no spend / low buy at the end of this month. We'll see how that goes.

Re: Sephora Savings Event 2025 Shopping Advice Thread: What’s in Your Basket?

@itsfi I love my digital journal too, I have been keeping it regularly since 2014! I have also started trying to get back into physical journaling as well, which I think I posted about in one of your wonderful wellness threads. I write about different things in each of them - the digital one is much more casual and unstructured, for keeping notes to myself, to do lists, random musings, etc., while my physical journal I mostly focus on writing from a list of prompts for self reflection.

That's a good idea, to split up your purchases/orders during the sale - I might try to do that too. But like you said - we'll see! 😅
