I totes agree @Mellmars1185 I really like them as well the coconut is my fave. They help me with my ongoing Achilles tendinitis struggles, when i get home from work I use them on my sore ankle and i am able to get a small second wind of sorts to keep moving around throughout the day.
Mineralize Skinfinish Highlighter, shade Lightscapade - shipped late, but it’s here. It's more shimmery than I expected, but not super shimmery or sparkly.
Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation, shade NC43 - I didn’t order this and don’t recall a GWP promo for it. And it shipped separate from the rest of my order. Either it was sent to me by mistake or MAC reeeally thinks I need this. 😂 Pretty sure this shade won’t work for me though, and I’m not gonna swatch it to find out. Soooo you know, if any of you are shade NC43 in this foundation, message me. 😉
Surprisingly, neither of these bullets are fragranced. When did YSL stop perfuming the heck outta their lipsticks? I’m not complaining, especially since that heavy fragrance is one reason I’ve largely avoided YSL bullets for years. I’m just curious.
Laura Mercier High Vibe Lip Color, shade Pop - the PERFECT substitute for discontinued Urban Decay Vice bullet shade Firebird, aka the most chronic bleeder among all my bullets. Pop has an even stronger blurple flip than Firebird! And Pop doesn’t bleed or feather at all! And it’s comfy to wear! It’s lightly fragranced, but I can’t smell or taste it once it’s on my lips; no obnoxious smaste!
A few years ago, I tried and didn’t like something from LM’s other bullet line. But this one—eh, at least this shade—is fantastic. I was sad to see UD reformulate the original Vice line (itself a reformulation of the old Revolution line) and then not bring Firebird back to the shade lineup. Now I’m thrilled to have a great sub of one of my all-time favorite lipstick shades.
Lipstick swatches, including my old UD Vice Firebird to compare with LM Pop.
Natasha Denona Mini Pastel Eyeshadow Palette- ordered this and that Laura Mercier lipstick from Ulta for 5x points on select woman-founded brands. It’s supposed to convince me I don’t need the full/midi sized Pastel palette, though the mini contains none of the bigger palette’s shades. We’ll see if I end up with Pastel anyway, what with Sephora's spring sale coming up and a $100 Rouge Reward sitting in my account.
Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen Body - yet another Ulta 5x points item. Sometimes the body and face versions of a sunscreen are so similar in feel, performance, and INCI list, they’re interchangeable—which is a great way to save a little money. (Body version’s usually cheaper per oz.) Not the case with Unseen Sunscreen: the body version’s cheaper per oz, but it's a clear lightweight gel that feels quite different from the face version. Anyone who dislikes the silicone feel of the face version might rage at this body version, which kinda feels like The Ordinary Azelaic Acid serum but lighter weight and more slippery. Also, the body version leaves a noticeably glowy finish, unlike the face version’s natural skin finish. And I don’t think I’d rely on the body version as a makeup primer. All that said, I do kinda like it! But I’ve only rubbed it on one forearm so far, so we’ll see how I feel about it on my face next week.
Eyeko Lash Alert Lift & Curl Mascara, shade Green - 100% moment of weakness. I’ve never tried one of Eyeko’s mascaras. Hopefully this one won’t try to kill my eyeballs.
