Is retail therapy helping you handle hot summer weather? Or is this month Justifiable July Hauls for you, sticking to a low-buy plan? Either way, show us all the goodies you got this month!
Besides the 1st for Canada and the 4th for the US, there are some beauty-related national (in the US anyway) days to celebrate:

@WinglessOne, the reference to Diptyque L'eau Papier is helpful; on me, I didn't really pick up a rice scent.
@itsfi Me either, which is probably why I never bought a full bottle of L’Eau Papier. Well, that and longevity: I have to overspray to make this fragrance last longer than 1-2 hours on me, but doing that makes that nag champa scent project very strongly. It does last a long time that way though. 😅 It’s still on my wrist right now, after last night’s shower and today’s hand & wrist washings. It’s mellowed enough that I can finally smell more of the musk. Eh, I’ll do some layering experiments… L’Eau Papier might do well with a smoky partner like Le Labo Patchouli 24. If that fails, then I’ll gift this sample away.
Browsing Fragrantica (to try understanding why anyone would place this and White Rice in the same scent note family), I saw someone compare L’Eau Papier to Fabuloso and yeah, I kinda get that. 🤣 I mean it’s not a bad fragrance, just not a rice fragrance—and I wanted rice.
@WinglessOne, I picked up the full size when it launched but for the mimosa and blonde wood notes. I don't eat rice that often but prepped and cooked it just to see if it smelled like rice or rice steam. Still didn't pick up those notes. It does layer well with florals, for me.
First NLD haul
It’s too bad not every color works but I’m glad you like Soft Frequency, @greeneyedgirl107.
@greeneyedgirl107 Is this your first time trying a SEPHORA COLLECTION About That Shine Lacquer Shine Lipstick ? I hope they work for you!
@WinglessOne it is! I just tried on SEPHORA COLLECTION About That Shine Lacquer Shine Lipstick 03 Pink Plasma which read too wine on me...I remember swatching it in store when it first came out. Idk how I got it so wrong.
I like SEPHORA COLLECTION About That Shine Lacquer Shine Lipstick 02 Soft Frequency from what I can tell. For $8 it'll go in my drawer for sure. I might bring it with me on a trip. The pink plasma is going back - cheap or not!
I haven't been too impressed with SC lip offerings since their Lip Attitude - Star line. I owned 3 or 4 shades and really liked them. It's a rarity for me to find that many shades from a line that I like, let alone liked that much. I still have my last Mauve Scandal tube...before they reformulated it right before the end.
@greeneyedgirl107 Hooray for finding a winner!
Hmm, the Star version was the sparkly one, right? Asking Google… yep. I don’t think I ever had one of those, but they look fun. I keep hoping more sparkly bullets (from various brands) will hit the market again; nowadays sparkle’s mostly just in glosses, but a bullet’s easier to reapply throughout the day as needed. I miss having lots of options there.
@WinglessOne you've got a great memory! They were sparkly but in a very wearable way!
I guess that a lot of my haul this month was Asian beauty related because I wanted to stock up on a few sunscreens and other stuff before some of the new import laws take effect but I sprinkled in a few other purchases here and there :).
These will be lots of fun to try @CookieGirl1 ! So many brands and products I’ve never heard of. Thanks for the intro on them!
@CookieGirl1 Good stocking up! That Gourmande Girls palette looks very interesting (in a good way).
@WinglessOne I hadn't tried any of their other palettes but I thought I'd give this one a shot and I'm not disappointed. The matte formula is pigmented but blendable and those shimmers are crazy-sparkly!
@CookieGirl1 I know what you mean. I just realized that MAC is made in Canada, so I'm glad that I had Ulta points when the lipsticks were half-price.
Do you have any Asian beauty products that you like for redness or discoloration?
@Ispend2much6 I can't really make any good recs for you there because that isn't a problem that I really have to deal with 🤔.
New in YSL Highlighter in Hypnotic Honey - cant tag.
The light white gold one. Hehe.
Its very glittery and catches light very easily. I definitely see glitter but goes on very smooth, all things considered 🤔
I now have the full powder set. Powder, bronzer, blush, highlight. WOOOHOOOO!
