Re: Sephora Savings Event – Holiday 2023 Shopping Advice Thread: What’s in Your Basket?

It never fails does it @faeriegirl?!! Regardless whether I put my list together months in advance or just days, there’s always so much more that finds it’s way here. 🛍️

Re: Sephora Savings Event – Holiday 2023 Shopping Advice Thread: What’s in Your Basket?

I really hope to see it on the Canadian Sephora side one day @itsfi, the Tatcha The Indigo Cleansing Balm Moisturizing Makeup Remover 1.9 oz / 54 g.  I just know it's got to be so good!

Re: Sephora Savings Event – Holiday 2023 Shopping Advice Thread: What’s in Your Basket?

I hope it becomes available in Canada soon @CynthieLu! 🤞🏼

Re: Sephora Savings Event – Holiday 2023 Shopping Advice Thread: What’s in Your Basket?

Or I'll get curious enough too purchase it from Tatcha Direct, 😉 the whole Indigo line is really pulling my interest. @itsfi Have you used any other items from it?

Re: Sephora Savings Event – Holiday 2023 Shopping Advice Thread: What’s in Your Basket?

The indigo line is wonderful @CynthieLu; it’s targeted towards those with sensitive skin but I can see it performing beautifully for all skin types, especially with the cold weather settling in for many, including you.

From the current line, I’ve tried samples of the rice enzyme face polish (calming version) and the serum treatment. 💙💜 They also came out with a moisturizer in the line and a hand cream (which may be exclusive to the brand site?), neither of which I’ve tried (yet), but I *think* I may have a foil sample of the new cream moisturizer somewhere. 🤔

A few years back, there was an indigo body butter - luxurious and performed so well. To the chagrin of many, that item has been discontinued. I really do hope it gets brought back and if it’s in a reformulated version that not too much is lost as far as feel and performance.

@itsfi  Macy's is having a sale right now. Although their beauty items are only 15% off, compared to Sephora's 20% that's coming, they're offering a free YSL Candy Glaze in my favorite color with a $50 min YSL lipstick purchase 😉

Macy's YSL GWPMacy's YSL GWP

I cannot believe that it is only 3 DAYS until the Sephora Sale begins!

You always post something new that I've never heard of/seen, yet looks like an immediate must-have! Like the Gucci beauty mist for example. I now need this because we've been having 85-90º F days down here, which is absurd for this time of year. I also now need the Tatcha Cleansing Balm, because I feel the papaya soap I've been using before my regular cleaner is drying (yet effective).

Oh, and although I haven't seen anyone mention it, the Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare Light It Up FaceWare Pro LED Device Kit has made it to the list of things I'm buying for the upcoming sale.

Re: Sephora Savings Event – Holiday 2023 Shopping Advice Thread: What’s in Your Basket?

I caved @furbie, and some YSL goodies are on the way. 🛍️ I had a couple of Rewards that were scheduled to expire, including one expiring next week, so I ended up paying $6.95 + tax after all was said and done. And I’ll get 3 lipsticks in return. Not too bad. 😉 Thanks for enabling err, for letting me know about the promo gwp.

Re: Sephora Savings Event – Holiday 2023 Shopping Advice Thread: What’s in Your Basket?

@furbie  I am a huge fan of the Tatcha cleansing balm, it is so good. As for the DDG mask, I haven’t noticed a difference in existing wrinkles but I haven’t noticed any new ones. The biggest difference for me is acne. When I use it consistently my skin stays clear.

Re: Sephora Savings Event – Holiday 2023 Shopping Advice Thread: What’s in Your Basket?

The Gucci mist is wonderful @furbie! ♥️ As is the Tatcha cleansing balm!

Here’s the best pic of the actual mist on the Gucci - enter The Gucci Beauty Thread at your own risk 😂

Okay, yes to the DDG Spectralite mask. That pink shade on the mask looks awesome. I have the original version and find it performed well - with the price tag (even better with the sale!) I have no regrets about my purchase.

Tagging @ather and @faeriegirl as I recall that they’ve purchased the DDG mask.

Edited to add: will check out the Macy’s sale; thank you. Or maybe it’s thank you?? 💸💸💸

Re: Sephora Savings Event – Holiday 2023 Shopping Advice Thread: What’s in Your Basket?

Lol @ using it as a Halloween mask! Yes, that's one way to kill two birds with one stone. They'd probably think I was trying to be Iron Man 😆

I have a 40K Ultrasonic Cavitation device from DHgate that includes an RF facial device. Sadly, there isn't much info on it. I also don't like that I have to manually move it around my face the entire time (20 mins). With a mask, I won't have that problem and it is a time saver.

Re: Sephora Savings Event – Holiday 2023 Shopping Advice Thread: What’s in Your Basket?

@furbie, it is a good investment. 100% agree with @ather that consistency is key - isn’t it always when it comes to skincare?

for more laughs (or maybe a scare),

Re: Sephora Savings Event – Holiday 2023 Shopping Advice Thread: What’s in Your Basket?

@itsfi  100% agree! I love the pic! I think I have a pic of my husband using mine!

Re: Sephora Savings Event – Holiday 2023 Shopping Advice Thread: What’s in Your Basket?

Thank you @ather! I love that your husband uses it, and that he masks with you on occasion. 👍🏼

Re: Sephora Savings Event – Holiday 2023 Shopping Advice Thread: What’s in Your Basket?

It looks like such a high-quality device @itsfi. I cannot wait to get my hands on one.

I don't think it looks any scarier than a sheet mask 😄

Re: Sephora Savings Event – Holiday 2023 Shopping Advice Thread: What’s in Your Basket?

Excited to hear your thoughts on it!

Do you sheet mask often @furbie?

Re: Sephora Savings Event – Holiday 2023 Shopping Advice Thread: What’s in Your Basket?

Not often @itsfi. I don't enjoy the feeling of having the mask so close to my facial orifices 😁 Whenever I use them, I have to trim around the eye and mouth areas.

Re: Sephora Savings Event – Holiday 2023 Shopping Advice Thread: What’s in Your Basket?

Yes, there’s definitely some trimming that is required with most sheet masks, @furbie

Re: Sephora Savings Event – Holiday 2023 Shopping Advice Thread: What’s in Your Basket?

Every time I see someone use one, they just plop it out of the package and onto their face! For a while, I wondered if something was off about my facial proportions.

I do still enjoy other types of masks like the gel peel, clay, etc @itsfi

Re: Sephora Savings Event – Holiday 2023 Shopping Advice Thread: What’s in Your Basket?

@furbie, I’m definitely not the face model for any sheet masks 😂. If you’re interested, there’s a mask thread - https://community.sephora.com/t5/Skincare-Aware/2023-Mask-of-the-Week-Challenge/m-p/5433327/highligh...

There’s a lot of sheet mask users that post but it’s not exclusive to sheet masks. There are weekly themes if you’re interested but if you use a mask not within the theme, no worries. We love to hear about masks - sheet, wash off, overnight, bubbling, etc.

Re: Sephora Savings Event – Holiday 2023 Shopping Advice Thread: What’s in Your Basket?

@furbie  I love my DDG mask! Best purchase! You won’t be disappointed! I do find using it constantly helps!

Re: Sephora Savings Event – Holiday 2023 Shopping Advice Thread: What’s in Your Basket?

Thank you for your review @ather 🤗 I plan to use it daily. It only takes 5 mins, right?
