A few catch up posts from late January / early February hauls

For 2 of the New Beauty Insider Challenge! activities, I picked up:

• EADEM Mami Wata Barrier Strengthening Face Mist with Cica, Panthenol, Ectoin for Sensitive, Irritated Skin 3.38 oz / 100 ml - it's got quite a few ingredients my skin generally responds well to and I love a good mist and Eadem so this was something I had to pick up. If this performs well, it would be an addition to (and not a replacement for) my well loved Gucci mist. 
• Lion Pose Pep Talk Barrier Repair Cream with Peptides + Ceramides + Triple Lipid Complex 1.7 oz / 50 ml will be put to use starting next month, er...starting tomorrow. 😉
• Asked for a sample of one of the new shades in the MAKEUP BY MARIO SurrealSkin™ Luminous Hydrating Foundation - this one looks like it'll be a better match for me. 

A medley of things I've been wanting to try, full size and samples. 

• Touchland Vanilla Velvet Power Essence Body & Hair Fragrance Mist Vanilla Velvet and Touchland Peachy Lychee Power Essence Body & Hair Fragrance Mist Peachy Lychee - lovely paired together. Of the two, I prefer the vanilla on its own as well. The peachy lychee has many notes I love but it leans more sweet and floral (and less peachy) on me than I expected; at least right now - we'll see how it translates in the warmer months.
• Rhode Lip Contour in balance and spin - these go on wonderfully but are not super long lasting. The silicone applicator on the other end is something I can see working for some folks, but I haven't been able to make it work for me, yet and prefer using my fingers. Shade and shade range are good!
• Rokael Beauty lip liner - Marked and Lip Oil in Ecstasy - I heard of this brand from @peculiarzmakeup - thank you, thank you! I've really been enjoying this lip combo. The lip brush on the other end of the liner reminds me of the Artis brushes. Great for smudging out the liner shade but I have to be careful of which part of the brush I use - the tip and sides can be prickly against my lips.
• Samples / Promo GWP - SOFIE PAVITT FACE Nice Ice Frozen Toner Pods with Niacinamide to Depuff and Soothe 8 pods / pack - I'll be re-incorporating toners and essences into my routine, at least occasionally, and was pleased to see these available as a promo gwp. Don't need any more mascaras but found myself wanting to try HAUS LABS BY LADY GAGA B Structural Volumizing and Lengthening Mascara Black Onyx and picked up this mini in the Rewards Bazaar.

Elorea fragrances have been on my wish list for at least a couple of years and kept coming on and off my radar. The timing worked out and I was able to pick up these beauties, which will be keeping me busy (and, hopefully, distracted) during my no-buy. 😊

I'm always finding new products that I want from your posts @itsfi ... adding the EADEM onto my list... how are you liking the Mario surreal? I had actually finished a bottle of this to my surprise considering I'm so oily 😶

You're very sweet to say that @jaaayp; thank you! 😀 I think the sample I have is a better shade, a good match, and I've been liking the Makeup by Mario foundation. Debating whether to pick up a full size in this new shade because you know ... I have a few foundations. 😅  Ohhhh you finished a bottle? Wow, impressive. How do/did you like it? How would you describe he coverage - medium? full? Very curious to hear your take on it.

@haleyvvvv, I've been really happy with Eadem's offerings; not all, but most. I love a good mist too! I'll keep you posted on how it fares vis-a-vis my other face mists.

@itsfi how long do the Touchland mists seem to last on you?  And I'll be interested to hear your thoughts on Elorea!  The brand has consistently popped up in my IG feed over the last year but I've never really investigated them.

@CookieGirl1, I've gotten good staying power with the Touchland Vanilla on my wrist - 8, 10, 12 hours, depending on what I'm doing. I haven't been good about keeping track of the Peachy Lychee, which I've used more as a hair mist. Will have to track that another day and will try to remember to get back to you. May not be for a bit as I have a few other fragrances to rotate through. Elorea hit my radar around the time they first launched in 2022(?), but I got sidetracked by various things, life. I actually meant to go to the brick-and-mortar store when I was in NY for Sephoria but ran out of time - it's on the list for next time. And next time, I'll try to drag miss @danielledanielle with me.

OooOOoohh @peculiarzmakeup great haul. How are you enjoying the DM contour? Does it lean more warm than cool? I was so impressed with their blushes that I wanted to try their contour but literally everything leans a little warm on me (am I that pale...)
