Let's Talk Fragrance Vibes

Has a particular scent ever made you feel beachy? Powerful? Downright sultry?! We know fragrance is complex, especially when discussing it here on a beauty forum. With the different formats, notes, and fragrance categories it can feel overwhelming so we want to make it fun to talk about our favorite perfumes, colognes, fragrance oils, candles, and any other products giving off a scent that makes you feel something. 

Different fragrances can evoke emotion and memories that may be difficult to articulate so we are starting this thread to make fragrance discussion more approachable and fun for everyone, regardless of your fragrance expertise. Whether it's a cologne that makes you feel warm and cozy or a perfume that has you feeling fresh and clean, we want you to leave comments with photos or descriptions of your favorite fragrances that correspond to each “vibe.” Team BIC will be jumping in to share the vibes different fragrances give us and we hope you will join us in the fun. JUICY COUTURE - Viva La Juicy RollerballI have been re-visiting this a couple days now.  It makes me feel like I'm still young and  a confident girl with energy, lol.

Not a woman necessarily-there are other perfumes for that :)-but a youthful Adult with energy, if that makes any sense. Even if I don't physically have any energy at the moment 🙂

@Buootiful how did I miss this?! Love this fragrance as well since I used it back in the day. I feel like I would be transported to the land of black eyeliner and Lancome Juicy Tubes if I sprayed this on. I wouldn't be mad about it either... 😄

Hahaha, like makeup I didn't get into this perfume until waaaayyyy past my 20's. It is a lovely scent I didn't know I liked 🙂 @KatieBT

I'd have to say that I'm really vibing on the new YSL Black Opium Intense perfume. I love all of the YSL Black Opium perfumes, and the original if I want to throw it back a bit. ☺️ They all make me feel confident, powerful, and gorgeous. I also love my Chanel Coco Mademoiselle (and a lot of the other Chanel fragrances). They, too, make me feel confident and pretty. 💜 It's rare for me to find a perfume I don't like....🤷🏼‍♀️😜

Okay I love this thread @KatieBT ! I'm a rookie when it comes to fragrance but I love learning about the notes and discovering what works for me.

Right now, I'm really loving Maison Margiela ‘REPLICA' By the Fireplace Eau de Toilette with Chestnut, Vanilla, and Clove Oil 3.4....

It evokes feelings of warmth, comfort, and calm. I went through 2 travel sized bottles before splurging on a full size bottle. I would definitely describe it as a fall/winter fragrance, but I use it year round because I just love it on me!

@bakeamuffin a fragrance that makes you feel calm, warm, AND cozy?! I need to test this out again. Sounds like the perfect scent to spritz on a cold day - I really do miss sitting by the fireplace in the house I grew up in. The name alone makes me feel nostalgic.

There are so many of us fragrance "rookies" when it comes to speaking to the notes but seasoned experts as far as knowing what we like. Talking about how fragrance makes you feel is a bit easier for some than focusing on the notes so I'm glad you posted and hope this thread makes fragrance a bit easier to discuss on the BIC 🙂

Has anyone else been wearing Yves Saint Laurent Libre Eau De Parfum with Orange Blossom & Lavender 1.6 oz/50 mL eau de parfum spr...? I know that @minakne mentioned it gives off a gala vibe and I must agree! I also must agree that the scent lasts and lasts - I have oversprayed this perfume a couple times wearing and it takes a long time to fade! I love this because I am on the go and don't typically reapply my perfume.

In the spirit of fragrance vibing, I obviously had to take a photo at SEPHORiA for this thread and the vibes YSL has been giving me 🙂 The vibe I get from this scent is very glam and powerful. When I wear this scent I'm ready to take on the world and have people ask "WHAT is that fantastic smell?!" YSL really did a great job with this fragrance, it's an instant classic! Just testing YSL Libre at their SEPHORiA booth 🙂

@KatieBT  I’ve been on a Jo Malone kick lately. Hands down my favorite is Wood Sage & Sea Salt Cologne. The fresh and clean sea salt notes in contrast to the sage is a nice juxtaposition that works perfectly for me!

A smoky, animalic and sexy, sweet cinnamon fragrance. Extremely potent and very erotic.

PHLUR - Moab Eau de Parfum So warm, spicy, and rich. Like a great rye whiskey by the fireplace- sultry and smooth. I can't get enough of it lately!

CLEAN RESERVE Skin Eau de Parfum with Musk and Vanilla 3.4 oz/100ml reminds me of waking up on a Sunday morning cuddling on fresh sheets and having a lazy day.

Carolina Herrera Good Girl Eau de Parfum with Jasmine 1.7 oz/ 50 mL Is going all out of date night and feeling sexy.

DOLCE&GABBANA - Dolce Rosa Excelsa Eau de Parfum reminds me of spring and walking outside in a garden.

Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess Eau de Parfum is eating a vanilla ice cream waffle cone in the summer.

I just bought YSL Libre and it`s first long lasting fragrance from Sephora for me! Lasts way longer than Chanel Coco Mademoiselle. It makes me feel as if i was on a gala even in a Four Seasons hotel, so luxurious!
