I can't decide if eyeshadow or lipstick is a bigger downfall for me, but considering that's pretty much all I wear makeup-wise, both are huge staples for me (I have like 6 blushes, no foundations, primers, etc, and 3 loose powders lol). I love eyeshadow!

If we are gonna kick this off with blue stuff, I have one that surprised the heck out of me recently. I needed a cheap something to finish off a GC at ulta, and grabbed this gem (Fiona Stiles quad in Oceanus for only $7!)

It turned out even more lovely than I expected...Ulta's pics on their site are always a bit off for me and this is actually a smidge lighter than pictured. The top left color is really more of a clear baby blue IRL instead of the muted, almost sagey green it shows up as here. And that bottom left teal is to die for! I had loads of fun with this a couple of days ago 😀

Nice!  I love lipsticks too. Eye shadows are definitely my first and favorite love but I do own a lot of lipsticks as well... heck I think I own too much of everything lol 😄

@veronika23 @themusefactory - As much as I love eyeshadows and have tons of colors, blue is one of the few colors that just don't work on me!  Therefore, I have a minimal number of blues in my collection.  Wish I could help...

@Titian06  it's definitely a harder color to work with. Blues and greens (think ocean) are my favs and what I probably own most of... just gotta check what's still available for purchase 😄

@veronika23 @Titian06 blue eyeshadow has really surprised the heck out of me. I don't like blue for anything else...I have the one blue sweater pictured above, and blue jeans of course, but that's about it clothing wise. I don't like blue for my decor either. Not a blue fan at all. But blue eyeshadow? Omg, I have fallen hard for some reason. Purple and red are my fave colors for pretty much everything else in my life, but more and more, I'm wearing some version of blue on my eyes when I do my makeup. Crazy stuff!  😋

@RGbrown  I totally get that! I'm not a fan of gold in general but I like gold makeup!  Also not a fan of red but like red shadow... not so much lipstick though :D. In general I pretty much like black, white, grey and a lot of colors in the blue and green family. Browns are definitely not my thing unless we are talking old school browns or nude lipsticks and wood 😄

@veronika23 I dislike gold too...have always preferred white gold/silver for jewelry or as hardware/accents on bags and such. But I think gold probably looks better on me than silver. I don't really know much about "tones" but I think my coloring leans more warm, where golds and browns and such are probably a better match. I have a silver metallic eyeliner that I adore but I rarely touch it because it just doesn't seem to look as good as I want it to 😞

Red lipstick scares the bejeesus outta me for some reason. I'll go super bold pinks and berries any day of the week...red shouldn't be any worse or more daunting...but it is lol.

The closest thing I have to a nude lipstick is a bronzey metallic liquid lipstick (aka not really nude at all lol). I guess I do have a couple of softer mauve pinks that might be close to "nude" but I'm pretty much of a mind right now that if I'm gonna wear makeup, it's gonna be seen. By all. From a great distance. Ha! I spent 40 years of my life wearing zero except for very special occasions, so now I'm in full on peacock mode 😂

@RGbrown.yeah I'm obsessed with silver jewelry lol.  Haha my other love! Sterling silver, oxidized sterling silver, gunmetal jewelry... I love it all! 😄

Maybe it's the silver tone that's not right for you if you lean more warm. So you would need to find one that's not as cool if that makes any sense... I'm neutral toned so I can wear both but prefer silver.

I'm sure red lipstick would look great on you.  I'm just not a fan of the color in general... unless it's eye shadow 😄

Hahahaha! Nudes were my first love in lips... it took me years to do bold.  I usually prefer to pick one feature and focus on that. So if my lips are bold my eyes will be more basic/neutral (not brown though... can't wear that color lol).  But since eye shadows are my favorite and I didn't wanna do bold lips back then, I would just do a full on color eye with nude lips. It's a big reason why I love Natasha Denona's work. There's always the exception though. I've paired bold eyes with a bolder lip... just depends on the color combo.

@veronika23 I keep thinking I should do soft eyes if I'm doing a bold lip, or a soft lip if I'm doing bold eyes...but then I wind up doing both in bold/bright colors every time. Nudes and neutrals and keeping it soft just doesn't speak to me, apparently 😂

You know, I've heard this so many times, but I often feel as though I need to do both. I almost feel like my face is unbalanced if I do just a bold eye or a bold lip....

@Magycmyste I am a firm believer in doing whatever you like! If you feel like bold and bold balances your face, then do it! I go all over the place with my looks, and as long as you feel confident with what you've put together, that's all that matters!

@RGbrown. hahahaha neutrals don't speak much to me either unless like I said it's nude lippies... There are no rules in makeup... only fun and creativity! Like I would do a lime green eye with a hot pink lip... just depends on the pairing for me. Like in my head the colors need to make sense together... do you know what I mean? I can have 50 shades of blues but need a particular blue to go with a particular color of lipstick. Sometimes I like a more neutral eye like greys with a pop of color and a bold lip to match... there are no limits! 🙂

@veronika23 I do know what you mean regarding eye and lip needing to make sense together! I'm still working on my pairing skills though...some days I'm better at it than others, and have to try two or three lipsticks before I find the right one. Maybe it's the difference in warm and cool undertones that I haven't figured out yet, but among my dozens of hot pink lipsticks, sometimes only one is just right.

Lime green and hot pink sounds divine! That shall be my task one day, though I'm not sure I have any lime shadow just yet 😱 No, wait, I think I have one in a too faced palette. Will have to check!
