any recomendations for a good foundation for dry skin?

A buildable BB cream cushion compact is perfect for dry skin in my opinion. Look for one that's specifically buildable and you can get to a lovely medium coverage that evens and covers imperfections while nourishing skin at the same time. You won't get airbrushed mattey-cake full coverage, but honestly I find it much better to have effective coverage and not make the face look like a flaky coconut cake (:

Are you interested in liquid or powder? I am horribly dry and very few liquid foundations look all right on me. Josie Marans Vibrancy is a really good hydrating one for liquid if you want fuller coverage and I adore Kat Von D's powder foundation. I also happen to be ridiculously pale and both of these have excellent shade ranges.
