Shipments in envelopes instead of boxes; and limited rewards choices

Two questions:

 

  • Did Sephora change its shipping methods? (I'm in B.C., Canada.) My last two orders have come from DSV Solutions. The products were crammed into a small padded envelope instead of a shipping box. At least I could recycle Sephora boxes. 
  • I have a lot of points, but for the past month or two, there are hardly any rewards worth picking. Today, for example, there's only one "choice" for each point category. What's up with that? [Edit, Yes, I know new rewards are added every week, but even then the choices lately have been terrible (e.g., collectible pins?!)]

I also received items in a bubble mailer from DSV solutions and then wondered whether it had come from Sephora at all. I outline the pros and cons of the box over the bubble mailer:

1. not put in personal mailboxes (sent to post office pickup point); therefore harder to steal

2. reusable and recyclable, including paper

3. keeps fragile items in tact

 

cons 

-more expensive for sephora (which is why they switched I presume)

-need to go to pickup point to retrieve box if your mailbox isn't big enough or secure enough (burden on shopper that I'm willing to bear). 

 

Please bring back boxes, or find a method that is sustainable for smaller and non-identifiable packages. Plastic is so much more of a burden on the environment than paper.
