Sephora associates don't even know the in store return policy

I was at sephora in menlo park mall and the sales associate was stating that they only accept returns within 30 days and would make an exception "just this one time" for a return that was less than 60 days old.  I had just read the return policy online and it states that returns are accepted in store for store credit from 31-60 days after purchase.  She was arguing with me that it was only 30 days.  Sephora needs to better educate their sales associates about the return policy.

Perhaps she read the Canadian return policy by accident. We only get 30 days.
