Issues with live chat

So Ive been trying to use the live chat feature to answer questions people may have. Whenever I click in the reply box the page just refreshes so I am unable to use this feature. I've tries logging out and back in, as well as both Chrome and Internet Explorer. Anyone know how to fix this? I can use this feature in the app but I prefer to use the computer: much easier to type.

September 2018, and I've NEVER been able to use with the Chat Live function with customer service from my computer - the button is disable. I've tried IE and Chrome, and it doesn't make any difference. What is the problem? Any advice is greatly appreciated

June 2018, and I've NEVER been able to engage with the Chat Live function with other shoppers from my computer - the page no longer refreshes when I click into it, but the chat box and questions itself still disappears and re-appears if i click anywhere in them. I've tried IE and Chrome, and it doesn't make any difference. It's  going on nearly a year... What is the fix for this?

Any advice is greatly appreciated...

@Maria88 this happens to me too but only on the community page. So if I’m looking at the insider community and open the chat and try to use it the page refreshes. But if I open up a product on Sephora I can use the chat function normally - are you able to use the chat on product pages?
