Rouge, you get TWO exclusive weekends of savings: Fri 10/26 – Mon 10/29 and Fri 11/2 – Mon 11/5. This means you get 20% off on the hottest beauty products before anyone else.
VIB and Insider, you will each get four days to shop. VIB will get to save 20% off Fri 11/9 – Mon 11/12 and Insiders will save 15% off from Fri 11/16 – Mon 11/19. Can’t wait to see you all there!

We’re glad you asked. For one day only, 10/26, all Rouge clients get to bring a friend to shop with them in-store and share their 20% discount. Your friend has to be enrolled in the Beauty Insider program and you both must be in-store for your friend to receive 20% off. Not only will your friend get to experience Rouge early access with you but they will also receive the sample bag, while supplies last.
Can I redeem the offer more than once?
If you forget something the first time around, don’t even stress. The offer can be used as many times as you want. Just one catch: One sample set per Rouge client on 10/26 while supplies last, in-stores only.

The offer is valid in Sephora inside JCPenney stores however, the offer is not valid on jcp.com.
Are there any exclusions?
In one word, yes. In lots of words: The offer is not valid on Google products. Not valid on previous purchases, purchases of gift cards or eGift cards, FLASH, PLAY! by Sephora, gift wrap, taxes, or shipping & handling charges. Clients are limited to the purchase of one Dyson item, three Drunk Elephant items, and three Tatcha items per SKU per transaction. Cannot be used in conjunction with other promotion codes or Rouge Reward.
I’m Rouge! Can I see the sample set?

I brought a friend in with me today and not only did I have to remind the associate about the sample bag for myself, but my friend was initially denied the sample bag as the associate stated it was only for the Rouge member. It was sorted out easily enough (everyone was nice about it) and she did end up getting her sample set. However, if I could kindly offer some feedback for future events, it would be helpful if the terms of the sale were fully known to all staff working.
No sample bag for me either today!
Not impressed ...they said that headquarters didn't send many sample bags and to contact headquarters.
They didn't even offer any other samples , not a foil or a store made sample.
I visited my local store an hour after opening, and the staff did not seem prepared for the sale. None of the things l wanted to purchase were on display, and when I asked a cast member she said they have a lot of things in the back but don’t have time to put them out. She also told me many of the new things coming for holiday won’t be arriving until later in the month / after the Rouge shopping days. I purchased one non holiday item on my list and stood in line at the cash wrap. I overheard someone getting denied the sample bag for Rouge, and I thought maybe she was a different tier of the program, etc. When it is my turn to checkout, the sample bag was not offered so I had to ask about it. The cast member said my order did not qualify as they were requiring a $35 minimum purchase. I had my mailer and said it was free with any purchase. They proceeded to look it up online, and ended up giving me one, but now I wonder how many were refused one before I spoke up. The whole situation left me feeling disappointed, to be honest. Another thing I noticed in store was that the items from last week’s weekly wow were still on display with the WW price, and the Museum of Ice Cream products for this week were not marked with a sign. Several cast members were busy talking amongst themselves / doing their own makeup instead of helping customers. I will fill the survey out on my receipt, so hopefully my comment will be seen by the store manager.
@angel7594 Wow, that all sounds totally unacceptable! I can't believe that they didn't have much of the holiday stuff out AND they weren't giving out the sample bags as expected. I think that you should definitely fill out the receipt survey; honestly, it sounds like the entire thing must have been a huge letdown :(.
@angel7594 I'm glad you spoke up about the sample bag. I would have done the same thing and told them to read the fine print on the email that it is free with purchase.

Thanks @MaliBT. I hope we will still be able to get discount later. Some of the products I want are already out of stock. If they come back in stock during the later sale, I wish we can still get the discount.

Ok guys, just got back from the Bloor St (Toronto) store. I went a little after 10am, which is when they open, and the store was already semi-full. As time passed it got fuller and fuller. Staff seemed a little sour, as they always do on event/sale days. And yes, as per usual, the SA at the cash 'forgot' to put my sample bag in at the end of the transaction and simply said ' have a great day'! I was like, what about the sample bag, and then she paused for a moment, like she didn't know what I was talking about, and then said 'oh ok' and reached in to the bin behind her. She asked for me card again so she can scan the bag of samples and said ' sorry- I always forget about this'..I replied to her that many people come into the store on the first day in order to get the sample pack..it's like, how can you FORGET the sample pack that is sitting RIGHT BESIDE you, and has been advertised as being free with any purchase during the sale? This ALWAYS happens to me during sale events at this store and I have to ask for the freebie. I swear, I feel like managers (at that store, anyway) are telling their staff to 'forget' to put the gift in the bag and only give it to those who ask.
I went to the Eaton Centre location on my lunch break, and although it was full alll the staff were super nice, the cashiers were friendly (despite being ridiculously busy), and they were making sure every person got the sample bag. I haven’t been to the Bloor location in a while but I find EC handles sales really well, they were even making sure everyone had baskets and weren’t annoyed when people were trying to also redeem point rewards. If you can stand the long wait, and it’s convenient, try that location!!
@cianni I also went to Eaton centre and had similar experience, although it was over crowded but cashiers were super nice and adding sample bags without asking, offering to redeem points. I couldn’t redeem the umbrella PWP promo previously but they had some umbrellas left so I asked for one and I was given a 20% off on the umbrella price as well.
Often times it is hard to find a SA if you need help at EC but it is mostly because the store is very busy so maybe increasing the number of Cast members on the floor (specifically during sale) can help with this problem in future. Other than that it is my favourite location.
Thanks Cianni! I'll try EC next time. I've actually had really good service there before. I usually just find their store so crowded but maybe that's a good thing- it means that they will likely have things organized to accommodate all those customers.
You know, I'm not complaining about the actual event, or even the fact that the sample bags ran out (even though it wouldn't take much for Sephora to just order double the amount next time to ensure most people get one). I appreciate these kinds of events. The thing that bugs me is the staff problems. And I've experienced these problems ever since I have started to become Rouge and attended Rouge events. Time after time I have encountered sour employees, employees that don't know the promotions, employees that don't know the rules of the promotions..how hard is it for a store to have a team meeting just before opening and tell the staff, for example, that EVERYONE gets a sample bag with purchase, or that they should do all they can to help/satisfy customers today of all days because it is an APPRECIATION day (not to act like they're doing us a favour by giving us the discount)..or ensure that all product is laid out on the floor BEFORE the sale day so that people will be able to find what they want and thus, spend more?
I agree! I think it would be easier to accommodate everyone if the sample bags didn’t need to be scanned (although I’m unsure if that would make a mess for inventory etc). I worked at a store where during promotional times like this, there were tons of bags pre-packaged with the samples/special promo at all cashes to make it faster at checkout. Realistically, almost everyone who was making in store purchases yesterday was rouge or the +1 because I doubt anyone would brave the crazy lines if they weren’t getting a deal! And maybe to have seasonal staff start a little earlier to accommodate? Just to be runners replenishing stock and grabbing things for people
