Explanation for missing points

Just like everyone else, my BI points were misteriously gone today.  I sent an email to the costomer service and this is their reply: 

 

"The points deducted from your account was added to your beauty bank mistakenly, and a point adjustment was done to rectify this. That's the reason points were deducted from your account."

 

I’m very curious how they did the math to end up taking away EACTLY all my points.  Seriously I don’t care that much about the points themselves, I'd be happily to "return" the points to Sephora if they explain the situation in advance.  But sephora chose the worst possible approach: sneaking into my account and stealing my points quietly hoping I won’t notice.  Is Sephora really so desperate these days that they'd steal people's points at the risk of losing costomers?  I have been a VIB member for years but now I am seriously thinking about leaving.  

 

Do you know why you are losing business nowadays, Sephora?

I had the same thing happen to me. I’m beyond frustrated, and so disappointed with the lack of customer service. I asked for an email with my points history so I could see exactly where these hundreds of points were “accidentally” added, and was told this wasn’t possible. Just odd it happened right after I canceled my play subscription.  Poorly done Sephora.
