Delivery Exception

Hi my package was set to arrive Nov. 26 initially, my delivery status shows there have been multiple attempts to deliver. Initially I told the courier that he can call the front desk using the phone outside. He said okay that he would call me back if he canโ€™t gain access. I never received a call. I got home and noticed that it had been sent back.  The courier attempted again on the 28th. I was at work and couldnโ€™t pick. because I was unable to pick the phone it now says that the maximum delivery attempts have been made and it's being shipped back to sender? Does that mean I will be getting a refund? I had Black Friday deal that I used on this purchase and now I'm worried that's wasted because my package wasn't delivered just because I wasn't able to pick up the phone. I've never had issues with other delivery companies accessing my building. Is there anything that can be done for me to retain my Black Friday deal? Thanks.
