shade matching

I really wanna get the hiss beauty concealer but i don’t know how to find my shade online. I’ve tried to get it in store but they never seem to even have a shade for me. what can I do?

Hi @saharao! @missjeanie has given some great advice already. I’m not to sure about the brand of concealer you are looking at but I do know sometimes brands just don’t put out a wide enough shade range and some people are left not able to use that brand because nothing matches well enough to their skin tone, undertone, etc… You might just have to look at other options. (Been there myself with Tower 28 Beauty Swipe All-Over Hydrating Serum Concealer )

@saharao I find that in store shade matching can be really hit and miss.  The device they use in Sephora always seems to think I'm a bit darker than I am in real life, and an old fashioned swatch on the jaw/cheek is hard to read in store lighting.  If you know a foundation or concealer shade that works for you you can enter them on findation dot com and have it give you a closest match in different formulas.  Some Sephora stores will also give you a sample to try out on your own time if you ask an in store associate.
