Smile Line Creasing: Help!

I'm 17 years old but when I wear makeup I look like I'm 50. I have smooth skin with minimal acne and medium sized pores, BUT: no matter what, after only an hour of wearing foundation, it settles into my smile lines and I have horrible creasing! I have tried multiple foundations, matte, dewy, and in between. I have tried putting eyeshadow primers on my smile line area, different full face primers, and multiple concealers. I always bake/powder my face to set it and I use setting spray. I also use mostly water based products. I don't get creasing anywhere else! Only my smile lines. If anyone could help, I'd be eternally grateful.

Re: Smile Line Creasing: Help!

I know exactly what you're talking about! I've found that dryer foundations, such as the loreal total coverage foundation, tend to amplify my smile lines, settle into them, and crack in that area. I have gone through so many primer and foundation combimations to try to find a solution and I have finally settled with using the loreal foundation but adding a drop or two of a beauty oil, I prefer the Tarte Maracuja oil, and using the white charcoal treatment primer from Boscia. This primer has been such a life saver for me, it prevents settling into my smile lines and stops my foundation from breaking apart near my nose. Try getting a sample of an oil and the primer at your local Sephora and let me know how it works out for you! You can add an oil to almost any foundation to make it a bit dewier and easier to work with.
