Fe-BROW-ary

Hey all! I wanted to propose a challenge for the month of February. I tried to search BIC and couldn't find anything so hopefully this is a new idea. I want to encourage everyone and myself to share brows and their brow goals for February.

I'm sure there are plenty of options that can range from low maintenance for makeup minimalists to more creative for those who want to branch out.

Perhaps you want to:

  • Try to do your brows twice a week
  • Use a new type of brow product - you usually go with a pencil but will try a pomade
  • Take care and strengthen your brows
  • Find a new holy grail brow product for you
  • Go wild with an attempt at an eyebrow trend

I hope you'll join along. Suggestions welcome!

Re: Fe-BROW-ary

I do freehand them @Ispend2much6   Don’t forget though, I was a fashion illustrator back in the day...

Re: Fe-BROW-ary

@jozkid  You've done a great job on your brows!! Looks very natural!! I was blessed with a unibrow that took alot of shaping, but with Graves Disease and treatment,  you lose the tales of your brows. I guess most people have to do something to help them!!😉😊

Re: Fe-BROW-ary

@yankeefaithful   I'm sorry you have to deal with that, on top of bad weather. 🙂

Re: Fe-BROW-ary

@Ispend2much6  Thanks alot! I've been enjoying our 60° temps compared to last week's sub zero temps!! Not suppose to last too long, but I'll take it!!😉

Re: Fe-BROW-ary

@yankeefaithful   I know; we're in the "snow hole" again for next week.  I hope you guys only get snow and not ice.

Re: Fe-BROW-ary

Thanks @yankeefaithful   My brows were actually fine when I was a kid. They weren’t too dark or heavy. And I had two!  Lol! But I was in high school in the 70s and people tweezed so I did too. And mine never really grew back. I’m a living cautionary tale. The thing that stinks even more is that now that I’m getting older, they’re getting ever more sparse and what little I have is turning gray. I am fortunate, though, that ABH Brow Wiz in a Medium Brown is a pretty darn good match. Maybe someday when it gets super bad I’ll break down and get the microblading

Re: Fe-BROW-ary

@jozkid  I like the ABH brow wiz too!!

Re: Fe-BROW-ary

Just as an FYI I would get microblading done in a heartbeat. But in my area it runs anywhere from $700 - $1000. Which is difficult to justify. 😞 because doing this every single day is a pain. My brows are the one thing I don’t leave home without doing

Re: Fe-BROW-ary

I never thought your brows were filled in this much, they always look very natural. I would like to get microblading also 🙂 @jozkid

Re: Fe-BROW-ary

Oh yeah @gingerleigh   There is some serious drawing skills involved in doing my brows. I’m flattered when people like my brows, but I feel like a total fraud

Re: Fe-BROW-ary

Total artiste! I can't get that kind of effect from brow wiz.

Re: Fe-BROW-ary

Omg @gingerleigh   I’ve been doing this for literally decades. I wish I didn’t have to, but I look ridiculous without it

Re: Fe-BROW-ary

Thanks @byme4u! I try to be punny and do play on words when I can.

Re: Fe-BROW-ary

Brows with only Givenchy's Eyebrow Pencil Dark Brunette #03.

The color difference between the brow hairs and the pencil is more obvious on my left brow but the color matches my hair better.  I do love this pencil; it glides on like butter and blends so easily!

Re: Fe-BROW-ary

This is the most I’ve ever seen if your face @Ispend2much6   👍. Great brows hon! I’m going to have to check out your Givenchy!

Re: Fe-BROW-ary

@jozkid   Believe me, I actually do have an entire face. 🙂

Re: Fe-BROW-ary

Thanks for sharing more eyebrow pics @Ispend2much6. Do you have a preference between the pencil and the mister brow filler?

Re: Fe-BROW-ary

@ShortErica   I forgot to mention this:  when my hair is freshly dyed, the Brow Filler looks the best because it's a darker tint.  When my hair's gone a few weeks from coloring, the Brow Pencil will probably be the best product to use because it's lighter and will match my hair better.

Re: Fe-BROW-ary

@ShortErica   That's a tough question.  I am really hoping they both play together nicely!  There is more coverage with the Brow Filler, but the Brow Pencil fills in the blanks better.

Re: Fe-BROW-ary

Thanks for the scoop @Ispend2much6. I think the brow filler is more my style. I may need to check it out in store. Your picture demo is a great advertisement.

Re: Fe-BROW-ary

@ShortErica  You're welcome!  I hope you do check it out.  It lasts forever, much longer than mascara does.

  • It looks a lot like a mascara brush. There is a section of the brush that has longer hairs, which is what I mostly use to apply the product.

  • I should have added a little more on the middle of my brow. And, I should have made sure the end was smoother, but I was in a hurry because the person taking my pictures was in a hurry. :)

  • My naked spotty brows (and naked face, too)
  • Outlining the shape of my brows with ABH Brow Wiz, using my natural shape (what’s left of it) as a guide.
