Hey all! I wanted to propose a challenge for the month of February. I tried to search BIC and couldn't find anything so hopefully this is a new idea. I want to encourage everyone and myself to share brows and their brow goals for February.
I'm sure there are plenty of options that can range from low maintenance for makeup minimalists to more creative for those who want to branch out.
Perhaps you want to:

I hope you'll join along. Suggestions welcome!
My only thought is to use a flexible plastic ruler @Titian06. I am picturing a small one you would use for sewing or crafts. I would line it up with the corner of my eye or tip of the nose and make a dot where you know to put your brows horizontally. Make note of your vertical measurement and then tweak until you find the right height. Does that make sense?
I absolutely understand, @ShortErica! (I'm way to analytical for my own good 😄 ) I have one of these rulers in my quilting supplies. I can't wait to give this a try--thanks for the idea!
This picture is way overboard but hopefully portrays my idea.
My original goal was to use a brow product more often, perhaps 2-3 days a week (I really should have determined an exact goal before today) and also use up my sample. I have two brow products: Ulta Brow Tint in light and the sample of Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in taupe.
Well it started with a whimper instead of a bang.
So after that not-so-promising start I've decided I will wear the Ulta Brow Tint 3 days a week. I will also maintain a better brow shape. Right now I have quite a few stray hairs that I haven't waxed or tweezed in months. Also, I have this odd thing with my right eyebrow. Hairhairhairhairhairhair -gap- hairhair. I can't seem to get a good picture to show you all. The outside hair is past what I consider "normal" brow area so I just need to remove it but I've also put that off.
Hopefully everyone else had a better start with their brow goals. Excited to see what everyone discovers by participating. 🙂
@ShortErica I think the full size ABH Brow Wiz is not as fragile as the sample. That is one tiny sample- I've gotten a few of them.
Thanks @Ispend2much6 for the feedback. I feel like they need to redesign the sample or else it's just a waste.
@jozkid @yankeefaithful I saw you both mentioned the brow wiz. I found my sample hard to use. Nothing was going on my brows or face. And then it broke. Have either of you tried a sample vs. the full size? I'm disappointing I didn't have a true test of it and any ideas to salvage my tiny pieces would be appreciated. Thanks!
@ShortErica I agree with @jozkid about warming it up and doing the tissue test. I've always used full size and usually reach for this or the IT Cosmetics Brow Power Universal Pencil. They both work great for extending the brow that looks natural. (tried to tag but couldn't get it to work)😏
I’ve been using Brow Wiz for ages @ShortErica so I think I’ve mostly used full-sized. If you’re having issues with the sample, I would say try to warm it up a little before using it and maybe draw a few strokes on a tissue before as well. I think that would help make it easier to apply
Thanks for the tips @jozkid. I will have to try the shards on a tissue to see if color comes off.
I think that is a great idea for a challenge! Brows are the one thing I always forget about. They kind of just exist on my face. Never really get attention. I've tried samples of brow products, and I didn't mind the ABH gel. But brow products aren't something I see myself buying. I can't wait to see everyone's looks though!
I totally get that @Samtian (though every time I see your name I mentally say Sam-i-tan though that's wrong - oops)! That is what prompted me to post this challenge. I'll explain more in my post for day 1. 🙂
@ShortErica I can't wait to hear about it! The username part made me laugh. I say it like Sam ten though lol.
I feel very fortunate to have found a quick, perfectly tinted (for me) product- Givenchy's Mister Brow Filler Tinted Waterproof Brow Filler.
The shade granite matches my eyebrows perfectly. I've had people tell me that and that they couldn't tell I was wearing any brow products (the subject does come up surprisingly often.)
This product does a great job of actually adding little fake brow hairs (it contains fibers to mimic brow hair,) but they never fall off once the product is applied! I can even add a little bit of a beginning and add on a tail with it.
The only thing I wish is if I could find a product that matched well enough to fill in my brows a little more. I would like a bolder brow, but I can't tell when there's too much product added and it looks too fake. I saw a photo of myself using a different product and shade that I THOUGHT was a good match, only to find out that I accidentally created a variegated brow design!
That is great @Ispend2much6. I feel like we all spend so much time and money trying to find what works for us. It is amazing to have an item you can count on. I don't know that I had heard of that one but being in humid Florida I may want to consider waterproof.
@ShortErica I'm in a very humid East Coast locale myself, and it's never run on me. I'm not kidding when I say that 75% of our days, hot or cold (cool,) are 80% humidity or above.
Haha fun! Y’all know me, my life gets all crazy and I can never follow up on challenges and check in, but I’ll see what I can do this month. My brow goals? Uh, I somehow messed up my left eyebrow recently - I decided to trim them, something I’ve done many times. But somehow, whatever I did this time, left all these weird patches in the tail end.
It’s so annoying, because I usually just use a pencil really quickly in the car, but now, with the weird patchiness, I have to very carefully draw it in, then invariably mess it up, then rub at it, then apply again. Anyway, I’m guessing maybe my goal is just to have my hair grow back, but i haven’t really taken any steps to make it happen.
I was thinking I may try Grande Cosmetics GrandeBROW Brow Enhancing Serum 4 Month Supply because of how much I love the Grande Cosmetics GrandeLASH - MD Lash Enhancing Serum .067 oz / 2 mL or maybe BRIOGEO - B. Well Organic + Cold-Pressed 100% Castor Oil.
Dangit: BIC is eating my post - let me try again!
Anyway, I figure I‘ll report back if I have anything to report! @ShortErica
@sister13 What does the castor oil do? I've only heard of that being taken orally as disease prevention. 🙂 Yuck.
I don’t know all the specific s
