Looks beautiful! I don't mind fruity scents. I prefer that over vanilla if it has to be scented at all. Berries sound yummy! 🙂

Just wanted to say a big thank you to Sephora and YSL for also sending me a few of these new vinyl creams to try.

I received the shades 401 and 402 and will be sure to come back with my thoughts and some photos once I've had a chance to wear them.

from first glimpse they look like they could be similar to my favorite shiseido product (lacquer rouge) so I am curious to see if that will indeed be true.

Nope, they are not like Shiseido Lacquer Rouges. ( And, that makes me happy! 😄 ( as I don't like those Shiseidos. ) ) These behave way better. I think you're gonna like them.

I also received the new Vinyl Cream Stains from YSL and Sephora, in shades 401 (Rouge Vinyle - what I would describe as a deep classic blue-red with cool berry-pink undertones) and 402 (Rouge Remix - what I would describe as a bright watermelon red with warm coral undertones).

Of course I had to test them out immediately and was pleased to find that the formula is cushiony and creamy, completely non-sticky, and can be applied very sheer as a stain or built up to a glossy, nearly-opaque lip. The formula stays in place and does not bleed, feather or settle into lip lines.

This line is scented and smells like a cross between watermelon and cherry Jolly Ranchers. The fragrance lingers after application and can even be tasted, which some people may not like, but I don't find it to be an offensive or headachey fragrance (coming from someone who is very fragrance-sensitive and picky). It just smells like candy.

The applicator picks up a lot of product, so when I want it sheer I wipe some on and then blend out with my finger, and if I want it more full-coverage then I use the arrow-shaped doefoot applicator to apply evenly. It blots evenly with tissue, and leaves behind a lovely stain after removal or long wear. Wear time is pretty long (though I rarely keep a lip color on long enough for this to be a problem), but it does transfer to everything.

I personally really enjoy sheer, buildable lip formulas with a lot of versatility, so the Vinyl Cream Stain is a win in my opinion. Another great product from a great brand. Thanks, YSL and Sephora!

Congrats @Gwenhwyfar Both Colors look lovely on you. I am really loving the look of stain left in the last picture. The fragrance is an issue though. I am ok with fragrance in everything other than lip products.

Congrats! Thanks for the pics and detailed review. They look great even without the glossy shine. I like lippies that stain since I'm often too lazy to reapply lol

Vinyl Cream Stains!!!  Sephora August 1?  I got two from Sephora in the mail, 401 and 402, along with a nice letter and box.  

401 is a red, hints of pink and cranberry depending on the lighting.  On me it looks like a slightly pink based red, deep and richly colored.  402 is a coral, poppy sort of color.  A little more orange than red but also deeply pigmented and super gorgeous.  YSL never disappoints with their shades.  I just got these (today) so am still testing the formula  (and will do a video in a few days after I've fully tested them out).  They remind me of the Pur Couture glossy stains with some Kiss and Blush mixed in (greater opacity, though sheen not matte, and deeper pigmentation even...shockingly).  So far, they haven't dried down on me completely.

What I really like is blotting them, even though they're so gorgeous as naturally applied.  I get this soft, vibrant, smudgy stain look.

And for those wondering how these products appear on some people's doorsteps (the question seems to get asked frequently) it's from BT participation, especially with respect to the brand doing the promotion.

Thank you Sephora and YSL.  This brand is among my absolute favorites!  And they're lovely.

Thanks for posting these.  I've been eagerly awaiting them since they were announced on the YSL site.  

Wish I was also chosen to receive these from Sephora, but I don't post here often. (Trying to stay away from temptation since I keep buying more and always swatch when close to a display lol 🙂
