So, partly motivating this thread was that I didn't know where to share these - when I picked up the palette, I also picked up the 2 nail polishes from the Savage Escape collection.

I'd promised "swatches." Please excuse the ugly nail shapes in general...

Night Escape:

Savage Pink:

These are really...interesting. They are like a crazy sequin dress, but for my nails. I didn't put a basecoat or topcoat as these were solely "for science." The texture of these is REALLY rough - I've never worn nail polish like this (or at least, not applied it myself), so I'm going to have to find a shiny topcoat for this that will also smooth the texture. The effect is cool, and I feel like Night Escape could look like a gorgeous night sky. 

Word to the wise - Night Escape was opaque in 2 coats, and Savage Pink is more or less opaque in 3. Still some VNL when held up to the light, but it should be fine 😉

@MSena I know which ones you are talking about - I've never used them though! This is new to me :D.

The navy is really pretty - i was immediately drawn to it. It is an interesting color, and on the nail is so much more. I'm seeing some pewter 🙂

@Libellules I think it looks lovely as a point color. Something like..  small lines of navy beads against a silver background, or four plain nails + one navy beady nail 😄 

Or I'd love to see stripes done with both colors, but I guess that'd be super hard to do, especially with my shaky hands lol

The nail polish is really fragile though. Normally, you can accomplish this short of thing by using tape (or so I've read. I usually fail at any kind of "nail art."). I'm afraid using tape on either of these colors once applied would ruin it. I mean...I accidentally tapped the pink nail about an hour after applying and created a huge gash in the polish :x.

@Libellules Oh no 😞 That makes me sad. Especially because I chip my nails all the time. That polish would def not last on me... 

That's why I self-nail; I'd probably chip away my savings if I did regular mani/pedis at a salon.

@MSena As I said - I didn't use a basecoat or topcoat! These definitely need them. Well, the pink would. The blue has lasted just fine!

Hah. I used to get my nails done religiously. Not these days (which is definitely showing :P)
