Re: Wayne Goss Thread | Brushes and Cosmetics

@WinglessOne, you have narrowed down to 3 fairly unique brushes in Wayne's new collection. I have Worker One on standby though I have no doubt Sonia G will compare brushes in this collection in detail, which I enjoy, especially to see if the bristles move and apply similarly. I hope she also compares this release to other WG brushes that are similarly shaped. Like you, I have no need for more cheek brushes, or any brushes unless they're synthetic (replacing my very first brushes), or very unique. I regularly use my angled cheek brushes because application is so easy with them (including using the back for highlight). I love exploring brushes by using their sides, edges, and backs. Fingers crossed shipping is swift so we can have these in our hands to use soon.

Re: Wayne Goss Thread | Brushes and Cosmetics

@TraceyEB  I'm also hoping Sonia will do a comparison writeup. I love her detailed comparisons. I also love to use brushes in various ways (including tasks they weren't originally designed for). I understand and appreciate the thought of using a brush just for the specific task or two it was designed to handle, but I prefer to get as much use out of a brush as possible. 😄

The Worker One is still one of my favorite brushes. That brush is fantastic for blending 2 shades to create a custom color. My other Workers are also great, but the original's the one I use most. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on the Worker One and E1!

Re: Wayne Goss Thread | Brushes and Cosmetics

@WinglessOne , I've narrowed it down to four 😶🤷🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️.  I was debating a lucky bag this year, but with these that credit is done.  F1 being tapered helps me a little bit to say no because I have that shape, and I'm sure you do too.  I'm trying to ignore how soft it probably is 😆 .  F5 also exists elsewhere, Sephora had a featherweight brush in that shape.  It kicks up a lot of product, but it lays it down nicely.  I'm sure there's other similar ones.

I'm with you on the E2&3, I've already justified those.

And F4.  Justified.  Even though I rarely use a flat top, and I have them.  send help.

E6 is probably the only one I have any business getting, but let's be honest, there's a brush I'm ignoring that can likely do a similar job.

Re: Wayne Goss Thread | Brushes and Cosmetics

On October 31, Wayne Goss is launching a First Edition Collection, an 11-brush set consisting of 5 face brushes and 6 eyeshadow brushes.  Really interesting shapes. Limited release now, then replenished over time.He mentioned ordering the set or singles. Awaiting price info. The launch video is on Beautylish and on Wayne's YT channel. Someone commented below the YT video that Beautylish has contacted them about pre-ordering. Wayne also mentioned that there is "so much newness in 2024."

The First Edition Collection includes the following brushes:

  • F1 /Face 1 - angled with a curve to help you apply and blend blush, bronzer, highlighter to the contours of the face
  • F2 - buffing brush for creams and liquids - your workhorse brush for creams and powders
  • F3 - the largest in the set; use for all over powder, bronzer, and blush
  • F4 - foundation brush for liquids, creams, and powders - gives realistic poreless skin; can stamp on contour on one of the tips and the brush will blend it in
  • F5 - use for a dusting of powder, for applying a whisper of a vibrant blush
  • E1 - Eye 1 - eyeshadow blending brush (blends out multiple colours; 3 times as thick as previously released brushes); can also be used for pinpoint highlighter on the cheek
  • E2  and E3 - small and large crease brushes with the sharply pointed tips - for use applying eyeshadow to the eye socket, over the outer hooded area of the eyelid, or for very defined crease application; can also be used to apply concealer precisely to the inner and outer corners of the eyes, to blend and buff out concealer; really good for eyeshadow application for hooded eyes
  • E4 - laydown brush; can also use on an angle to apply contour to the nose
  • E5 - pencil brush - considered an instant eyeshadow brush (see video!); good for laying down eyeshadow at the lashline, blending eyeliner, precision work with eyeshadow (inner corner) or concealer
  • E6 - push liner brush - it's back but smaller and more firm (so it doesn't bend) - used to push liner into the roots of the lash bed, can also be used to fill in missing brow hairs, for micro highlighting the tear duct area, or applying concealer to the upper lip line to frame the lip.

Re: Wayne Goss Thread | Brushes and Cosmetics

Wow you guys these look sooo gorgeous!! I would love 1 or 2! 😭 Can’t wait to see what yours look like!

@TraceyEB @itsfi

Re: Wayne Goss Thread | Brushes and Cosmetics

@Sunnysmom, let us know what brush(es) you have your eye on! Lots of uniqueness in his video. Where there were similarities to previously released brushes, it looks like the design has improved. I never have enough of Wayne's lay down eye brushes (the E4; the original eye set 17 and 18 and more recent 06) and have loved each and every one he has released. I really like the look of the E1 and its multiple eyeshadow blending abilities.

Re: Wayne Goss Thread | Brushes and Cosmetics

F1, 2, 3 or E5 have my eye @TraceyEB ! Prob one Face and one Eye if I do! Your set will be wonderful!

Re: Wayne Goss Thread | Brushes and Cosmetics

@Sunnysmom, good choices!! I will post when mine arrive, fingers crossed the shipping is expedited! Between Bono and Wayne, I'm broke (and not at all complaining!)! 🎶❤️🖌♥️

Re: Wayne Goss Thread | Brushes and Cosmetics

So worth it @TraceyEB ! Great music memories for a lifetime plus some treats too. Love it! 🥰

Re: Wayne Goss Thread | Brushes and Cosmetics

@Sunnysmom, it really was a special few days and I took in a second concert at last minute when the price of resale tickets plummeted (and the seats were better!). I love Wayne's brushes and they all get regularly used! 😘

Re: Wayne Goss Thread | Brushes and Cosmetics

Oh man @TraceyEB , that’s the best! Love him and them! I have a few of his brushes because of your guidance I’m pretty sure. 💞

Re: Wayne Goss Thread | Brushes and Cosmetics

@Sunnysmom, I'm sure you do! 💗  I should get a commission for all the promoting I do of his brushes and makeup products!! 🤣

Re: Wayne Goss Thread | Brushes and Cosmetics

@Sunnysmom@TraceyEB @said individual brushes were available on his UK site ⬇️ so it makes me think the same may be the case here. Keep on the lookout. Maybe Beautylish will list individual brushes some time after the set launches?!

Re: Wayne Goss Thread | Brushes and Cosmetics

That would be terrific if so @itsfi , thank you! Thanks for the great info @TraceyEB ! 💞

Re: Wayne Goss Thread | Brushes and Cosmetics

@Sunnysmom,@itsfi  Beautylish confirmed to me that brushes will be sold individually.

Re: Wayne Goss Thread | Brushes and Cosmetics

Yaaay, now we can get back ups of our favorite(s) from the set! Oh wait, is it too early to think that way @TraceyEB? 😅

Re: Wayne Goss Thread | Brushes and Cosmetics

@itsfi, waaaayyyyy too early! I was more concerned that this is called *First* Edition.  And here I thought I had enough brushes and needed to work on technique!

Re: Wayne Goss Thread | Brushes and Cosmetics

As I see it, now you have more brushes to use as you work on technique, @TraceyEB 😉 😃 It’s a different take on having a robust collection that probably only those here truly appreciate, hahaha!

Re: Wayne Goss Thread | Brushes and Cosmetics

@itsfi, you have an enabling....er, I mean, a refreshing take on this!! 😂 A robust collection is a kind description - my WG brushes will need a wing of their own!

Re: Wayne Goss Thread | Brushes and Cosmetics

That sounds like a spectacular brush collection @TraceyEB! 😍
