Does anyone remember - didn't they already do this with both Divine Rose and Divine Rose II? I'm pretty sure my goddaughter benefited from me giving her my gently used originals in the black packaging, so I could pick up the baby pink and rose gold versions. Nordstrom doesn’t have Pat’s full catalog, but I saw several Motherships, some (but not all) MatteTrance shades, the SatinAllures, blushes, bronzers, foundation, concealer, primer… probably a mirror of what’s at Ulta. (I haven’t compared inventory at both retailers.) 

If the next Mothership’s not another pink rose color story, I’ll be able to use Nordy Notes to get it for free! That’s a big deal (to me) because unlike my Ulta points, my Nordy Notes do expire. It’s good to have even more things to spend ‘em on before time’s up.

@sugarbaby69  Quick BIC tip: remember to “@“ the person you reply to, so they’ll get a notification. Otherwise they might never see your reply. (Kinda ironic to say that since notifications are glitchy lately. 😅) 

Nordstrom has a rewards program called The Nordy Club. Check that out at their site for all the details; I’m pretty sure you can join without opening a Nordstrom credit card. (I’m a cardmember.) Depending on your reward tier, you get X number of points for each dollar spent at Nordstrom. Those points get automatically converted to Nordy Notes: 1000 points = $10 Note, 2000 points = $20 Note. You can use Notes on anything at Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack. Notes do have expiration dates though.

Dark Star 006 v4 duo - I tried to wait to post in this thread til after I’ve used this duo a couple times, so I’d have performance feedback to share. But my eyes have been too irritated lately to wear any eye makeup, including this duo. 😒 So for now, I’ll just post a few thoughts and my photos from the November hauls thread. 

The powder shadow, Blitz Sapphire, is the baked blitz formula. I kinda hope Pat releases more blitz singles (or duos, or trios, or quads) if they won’t be included in Motherships anymore. I’d rather not pay $46 USD for a single + eye gel in the future since that’s 36% of the price of a Mothership. But if more blitz singles were available for less money, I’d consider buying them. I do still think if blitz and astrals won’t be in Motherships anymore, then those palette prices should reflect their absence. (I say that despite my love of Decadence which has no “special shades.”) 

Mothership I Subliminal shade Blitz Blue vs. Dark Star 006 v4 shade Blitz Sapphire: 

No, they’re not the same. But they are close.Blitz Blue is closer to azure than Blitz Sapphire.

You know how Blitz Blue’s black base (try saying that 4x fast) breaks through if you over-blend/rub that shadow? Blitz Sapphire doesn’t seem to have that issue, or at least has less of it. Not that Blitz Blue is problematic (for me); heck, it’s still one of my favorite shades among all my Pat McGrath palettes and singles. This is just a possible performance difference I noticed. 

Hopefully I’ll get to use Blitz Sapphire on my eyes this week.

Forgot to cross-post my mascara swatches from this month’s hauls thread. Here are 2 of this year’s Dark Star Colour Blitz Mascara shades on my own lashes: 

Pat McGrath Dark Star Colour Blitz Mascara shades Renegade Red (top row) and Electric Jade (bottom row). No lash primer or curler used. Lower lashes are bare.

I’m thrilled with Electric Jade (green mascara): showed up on my lashes in a single coat and intensified with a second coat. But I needed 3-4 coats of Renegade Red to build up the red color, partly because I had some trouble getting enough product on the wand. The end result’s worth it though. With the red one, I’ll use a white lash primer next time for (hopefully) quicker color payoff. I haven’t put the Azure Allure (blue mascara) on my lashes yet. Note to self! (Can’t do it right now because both eyes are in allergy mode today.) 

Note that the red shade contains carmine (CI 75470). Some folks are eye and/or skin sensitive to that ingredient, and carmine is a no-go for vegans.

I love both mascaras on you, @WinglessOne !  The green is the standout though. 🤩  The eyeshadows look wonderful as well. 😍 

I'm interested in that particular PMG palette, but have been unable to find a list of ingredients.  Do you know if there's carmine in any of the colors?

Unfortunately, 2 shades in that palette (Midnight Iris and Pale Amethyst) do contain carmine. I took a photo of the back of the box for you:
