The Bobbi Brown thread.  Bobbi Brown was the first brand that got me excited about makeup.  So I'll always have a soft spot for BB.  And now Sephora has the amazing 25 year year palette.

Note, the holiday lip shade is sold out on Nordstrom.  I'm going to be watching for it on Sephora's site.

Bobbi Brown to exit US department stores, selling via BB online, at Ulta, on Amazon, and TikTok Shop. Article below discusses the state of Estee Lauder's business.

The headline took my breath away. BB is among my  favourite brands, whose products are part of my everyday routine. I discovered Bobbi Brown in a department store where there was a full counter. I became acquainted with their makeup and skincare lines and enjoyed when BB makeup artists held special events. The Boston Store closed and so went the full BB counter. I've relied on Sephora for seeing product shades in person. BB's presence in Ulta is slim. The brand has lost my previous sales volume by not have an adequate prescence where I shop, and now Estee Lauder is reducing that further. I do not support Amazon.

Thank you @TraceyEB, I'll take a peek at the article later tonight. I've been tracking the EL & Puig merger talks every now and again - I've been curious about EL overall ever since I learned last year that it was bundling Dr. Jart with a couple of its other brands for sale. Removing their counter at stores will reduce costs but their sale numbers could very likely also see a dip since, as you alluded to, consumers will have less resources for seeing and testing products themselves before purchasing.

@itsfi, interesting re: Dr. Jart. I read that EL's Too Face might be sold, so there are moving parts. And speaking of, I found MAC's move to Sephora a curious one as they have a lot of presence in department, retail, and standalone stores.

Ahhh, I saw a beauty YT’er post the eyeshadow palette but couldn’t figure out the brand; thanks for posting this @TraceyEB. The illustration / art work on that palette cover is really fun! 🤩

@itsfi, I agree about artwork on the palette! I wasn't sure this collaboration would launch in North America, especially when a Wonderland- themed Vitamin Enrich Face Base Duo was included in the Holiday Collection. (I purchased that duo on a steal of a deal at Ulta.)

Love the Face Base and the illustration on it is really cute. I haven't tried the new reformulated version. Do you find it a lot different than the original @TraceyEB ?

@itsfi, I didn't realize it had been reformulated!  The vat of Face Base that I just finished was purchased last year. That formula was consistent with my past experience. I just opened a BB Hydrating Face Cream, so I'll need to make a dent in that before opening my new Face Base but I'll be looking more closely at the formula when I do.

@itsfi, Bobbi is reformulating or extending the shade range in their core makeup products. Waiting for the new eyeliner formula and a blurring pressed powder.

Here is the full Bobbi Brown x Alice In Wonderland collection. I have only seen the Vitamin Enriched Face Base Duo released in US/Canada to date.
