@alexandradolan,   I know how you feel! I started to use a scalp scrub and I noticed that my blow out lasted a lot longer and also my hair was less oil. I recommend using it before shampooing and around the hair line.   SEPHORA COLLECTION Peppermint Hair Cleansing Salt Scrub https://www.sephora.com/product/peppermint-hair-cleansing-salt-scrub-P441001?icid2=products%20grid441001roduct

This is kind of a "duh" type answer, but I also have naturally thick wavy hair and what works best for me is just to take Biotin every day and keep my hair very hydrated. My hair grows very fast and because I don't use hot tools very often the tips look healthy enough that I don't need to keep cutting them. Good luck!

So, I can't give you advice on hair but I can for skin care. I had really oily skin but now it's much more manageable. Cleanser: over cleansing till your skin is dry is NOT the way to go, it made my skin much worse. I recommend the cleanser from Drunk Elephant (the orange one with cantaloupe extract), it's a little pricey but it's worth it. The cleansers from Kiehls are also really good. Serum: these are so necessary, the Ole Henriksen Vitamin C serum is a little sticky but it's very good, the watermelon glow serum from milk is very moisturizing ( speaking of milk, their toner, cooling water, and masks are an absolute staple)Moisturizer: the superfood hyaluronic acid feels like silk, the watermelon one from glow recipe is a lil sticky, you can basically use it underneath a second moisturizer, and the hyaluronic acid one PTR is very good.Masks:Night: Summer Friday's masks (not the newest one) are so good for dry skin! the berry one from Youth to the People is very creamy, the avocado mask from glow recipe and the calming mask from ren can calm down anything (I also use them on my legs after I use nair, and it calms my skin immediately). for something a little lighter, the yoni glow mask from kora organics brightens skin so much!Day: any mask from Dr. Jart (not the shake ones), I suggest the ceramides one  Other:invest in sprays for throught the day, and a witch hazel toner ( before anything is on your face)

@l8totheparty I avoid most hydrophobic silicones, because they weigh down my fine wavy hair; my hair looks greasy more quickly and can feel filmy. While 'cones leave my hair sleeker in the short-term, they cause more frizz over time because I'm washing more frequently with sulfates to completely remove them. Some of that can be mitigated by deep conditioning after using a clarifying shampoo, but for me the hassle isn't worthwhile. I think it's ultimately a personal decision, and one that will become clearer over time. If you continue with this routine and don't like what it's done to your hair in another month or so, you can reevaluate. If the benefits of using it outweigh the downsides, then great!
