Sea salt spray for thick straight hair

I've always heard how great sea salt spray is for waves but I have no idea how best to use it on my thick straight hair- does anyone have tips?

I'd suggest a mousse first. I bought so many sea salt sprays Hoping for results and really didn't see them until I paired with a great mousse! My favorite is the r+co aircraft pomade- really lightweight and doesn't make your hair stiff. Then I'd use the sea salt spray to boost the look and keep it going all day. Captain Blankenship is a wonderful option.. I go through a ton of those bottles. But I also really enjoy the verb one. Good luck!!!

This is the first I've heard of that combo! So you put in bother when wet and then let it air dry? Do you scrunch or style, or just let it go? And do you brush it out at all?

Don't brush! Brushing will sort of tell your hair you want it to be straight. The best thing to do is touch your strands minimally. Take a handful of mousse, rub it between your hands and fingers and scrunch throughout. Be careful not to have it all hit your hair in the same place - that will cause it to get crunchy!! Scrunch up with your fingers and let your hair air dry or use a diffuser until it's mostly dry. Then add in the sea salt spray and scrunch. The hardest part is not over touching/working your hair... it's so tempting!!! But my waves are soooo much better when I follow that simple rule!

If your hair naturally has any kind of wave in it, spray the sea salt spray in wet hair and scrunch away! If it is naturally very very straight you can spray it in wet and either braid it or twist it (into buns ideally), let it dry, and unravel!

Thank you!
