MoroccanOil

Hi, I’d like everyone’s personal opinions as I’m debating between MoroccanOil shampoo and olaplex.  Any pros and cons of both? If you had to pick only one to make your bleached hair smooth and shiny, and hydrated, which one would you pick?

@bronderRose3

Hi,
I would use Olaplex No.3 as a pre-treatment; hair needs to be damp for No.3 to work, apply liberally and let sit for 15 mins. Then you can go in and shampoo it out with Redken All Soft and use All Soft Heavy Mask.

Use the Olaplex No.3 once/week until you see an improvement in the strength of your hair then go to once a month for maintenance.

I can’t reply to your DM.

Re: MoroccanOil

Thank you for letting me know. I love to hear about others haircare routine. Okay, so you personally don’t use olaplex shampoo or Redken acidic bonding? Just the all soft?

Re: MoroccanOil

@GG84 great to hear!  Finally I hear someone’s hair routine doesn’t include olaplex or Redken acidic bonding.  All the hairstylists I’ve been to say I need to incorporate protein in my routine but I’m scared to.  Also, they all tell me to avoid shampoos with Sodium Laureth sulfates, but sounds like your thriving with it (Redken all soft) plus, my hair seems to benefit from sulfate shampoos. If I use sulfate free, it gets oily in a few days.

No, I don’t use acidic bonding or olaplex shampoo.
Just for background, I have about 40 professional shampoos/conditioners/treatments that are in my home right now. There are very few I use frequently enough to go through an entire bottle. Redken All Soft has been a staple for almost 20 years.

Re: MoroccanOil

@GG84regarding my hair getting oily faster with sulfate free shampoos, do you think this could be a factor? Like if you personally experienced things like this, would you choose a sulfate shampoo? Love your feedback!

Re: MoroccanOil

Thank you

@bronderRose3

Honestly neither. I’d go with Redken All Soft Shampoo and All Soft Heavy Cream mask.

Re: MoroccanOil

@GG84 I use Redken's All Soft line because of you  - and it's amazing!  I have a question about Redken All Soft Mega Shampoo, which had been discontinued.  I know there's the regular All Soft shampoo, but is there anything similar to the MEGA shampoo out there?  It really made my hair so much better!!!  Thanks!  💕 💞 ♥️

Hi! There is…. I won’t say the brand…Sephora is getting a new line that I think is being announced in 2ish weeks. I heard the announcement through a friend. That line has a very similar one. When they announce it I will edit this post.

Re: MoroccanOil

Hi @GG84 so do you personally like Redken All soft over the acidic bonding line? Do you think it’s enough for bleach damaged hair? You’re so helpful!

Re: MoroccanOil

@GG84 thanks so much!!!!  I truly value your wonderful insights!  My hair and I thank you!  ❤️ 💙 💜 💖
